Opening EasyLAB

Double Click On the easyLAB Icon on Desktop


(You can Click from the Start Menu also)
Log-in to EasyLAB

Type Your User Name and Password


then
Click LOG - IN Button
Changing Password

Type Your User Name and Password and Click on


Change Password.
It will ask for the new password. You have to enter the
same password twice. You have to log in with your
new password.

THE MENU BAR

The Menu bar contains

1. NEW BILL (For Creating the Bill for the Patient)


(The New Bill Screen Contains the option to enter Customer Data also)
2. Reports (For the Daily Collection and Other Reports)
(The software will take a full backup of the data while you open the
Daily Collection Report. So it is advised to take the report every day)
3. Tools (This menu have the Below Sub Menu)

4. Lock Screen
(To Lock the Software Screen. You have to enter your password again to unlock
the screen. The screen will automatically lock as per your setting. The Default time
is set to 30 minutes)
5. Search Customer and View Report
(You Can type the customer name, Telephone Number, Customer ID or Bill Num-
ber to find a Customer. You can type the bill number in the View Report Column
to quickly open the test report)
THE TOOLS MENU
The Tools Menu contains
1. Create / Edit Tests
(This is for creating new tests and changing the Test Parameters like Test Name,
Section/Department, Test Short Code, Test Rate, Unit, Reference Range, Method,
Comments Etc. )
2. Create / Edit Groups
(This is for creating new Test Group / Test Profile / Package and to change the
Group Parameters like Group Name, Section/Department, Group Short Code,
Group Rate Etc. )
3. Add / Edit Default Values
(This is for creating the Default Result Values for tests like Blood Group, Urine
Color, Urine Sugar Values etc. This will help you to select the result values from a
menu as shown below. )

4. Manage Users
(This is for creating and Editing Users and their usage Rights or Restrictions)
5. Doctors List
(This is for Adding and Editing Doctors list. The Software Will automatically save the
new Doctor Name entered in the new Bill. You can add their contact details if
needed )
6. LAB Details
(This is for Setting Lab Details like Name, Address, Phone Number, Email, Email
Password, Lab Working Time etc.)
7. Application Settings
(This is for Managing the Application Settings like Printers, Backup Folders, etc.)
8. Backup Data (This is to backup your Software Data)
9. About (This will show you our Contact Details for Support)
THE STATUS BAR

The Status bar will show the status of the Analyzer


which is integrated with the EasyLAB Software.

THE CALENDAR
The Calendar is placed to help you to navigate easily
to the reports of any date. You can click on the date
to see the list of the Bills on the Specific date.

THE LIST OF BILLS


This is the area below the Calendar.

The List of Bills of the selected date will be shown in this area. It will give show you
the Total number of Bills on that day. It will show the Customer Name, Age of the
Customer and The Time of the Bill Generated.
You can see two buttons between the calendar and the List. You can hide / show
the calendar. Also you can hide the printed bills to see the pending bills only.
The list is color coded. The bill number in RED means there is a pending amount in
this bill. The Patient Name in Red means the result is pending.
You can open the bill by Clicking the Bill Number. And you can open the Report
Entry Screen by clicking the Customer Name.

Billing Screen Explains
Title
The Male and Female options will change automatically if you select the Title (Mr. / Mrs.

Customer ID
Each Customer will get a Unique Customer ID while registering for the first time in the soft-
ware. (This is 6 Digit number starting from 500001. This number is also used as the login id
for accessing the online results). There will be a unique password also created during the
customer registration and it will be printed on the bill if the lab have the online facility.
Name
The old Customers detail will show automatically when you start typing a name.
You can search old customers by entering their Name, Customer ID, Phone Number, Lo-
cation and Email Id. The details will fill automatically when you select a customer name
from the list. Then you just want to select the Ref. By. Doctor and then select the Test
Names prescribed.

Mobile
Mobile number is optional and necessary if you need to send Results or information
through SMS. The software will show a message while saving and you can press “YES” if
you want to continue without mobile number.

Email ID
Email id is also optional but necessary if you need to send Results through Email

Location
Location is Mandatory and the software will show message if you did not enter location.
The location will be automatically saved in the location list and will show next time typing
the location
Billing Screen Explains
Ref. By Dr.
Doctor Name is also mandatory and the software will show message if you did not enter
doctor name. The Doctor name will be automatically saved and will show next time typ-
ing the Doctor Name.

Test Selection
The test entry column is just below the Ref. By. Dr. Column. The tests will list when you type
any name in the test entry column. You can type the test name or test code in the test en-
try column. The you can simply select the test needed from the list shown.
Billing Screen Explains
History (Patient History)
This area will show the List of previous bills of the selected customer like below.
The latest bill show in the above in the list. You can Click the Bill Number to See the
Old Bill Details and Click on the Date Column to see the old Test Reports.

Save Customer / Edit Customer


You can se a button below the History Box (The Name will be “Save Customer” if
the customer details is not Saved. Other wise it will be as “Edit Customer”. You can
click the Edit Customer Button if you need to change any details of the customer.
Billing Screen Explains
Total
The Total column will show the total amount of the selected test before discount

Discount (Hidden)
The discount column is the column just below the Total. Actually the name of the
column is hidden.

Grand Total
This is the total Amount payable by the Patient.

Advance
This is the amount actually paid by the Patient. If this is lower than the Grand total
the balance will show in the balance column

Balance
This is the amount payable by the Patient. If the balance is not Zero then the Bill
Number on the Bill List below the Calendar will show in RED color

Print A5 Laser
This option is for changing the Print output if you have a Dot-matrix or Thermal
Printer.

Print While Saving


This is Ticked if you selected the Auto Print Bill option in the Application Settings.
Then a Bill will be printed on saving every new bill. You can remove the tick mark if
you do not want the bill to be printed

Save Bill
As you know this is the button to save the bill. The customer details also Saved on
saving the bill. So you do not need to save the customer name separately.
EDITING BILL
EDITING BILL Explains
You can open and edit an old bill by clicking the Bill Number in the Bill
List below the Calendar.

There is a button “Edit Customer” To edit the Customer details if neces-


sary.

You can remove a test by selecting the test from the test list and press-
ing the DELETE button on the keyboard. You may have to type the ad-
min password if there is any saved values in the tests.

You may have to correct the Payment and balances if you deleted or
added the tests.

You cannot enter the Advance amount in the OLD Bill screen but you
can do it on the Payment column just above the Total Column.

You can only edit the current day amount in the top column. If it is not
today’s bill you will have to click on the column below the first row.
Then the todays date will come automatically in the second row first
column. You can add the amount received in the new column.
Then only the receipt will show in the todays Daily Collection Report.

There is an option to cancel a bill also by Pressing the “Cancel Bill”


Button. But you cannot cancel a bill with Results Saved once.

There is a Print Button to Print any Old Bill

You can got Previous Bill and Next Bill by pressing the respective but-
tons just above the Date Column.

You can find an “Open Report” button to open the Report Screen. Also
there is a “Print Barcode” Button to Print the Barcodes if your version is
Barcode Printing Enabled.

There is a “Manual CBC” Tick Box to change the CBC Result Option.
This is used when the CBC link is Enabled in the software.

The New Page Menu, Bold

“Review Patient History” button will show the complete history of tests
of the same patient done at our LAB. This will help you to correlate the
present result.
Double clicking on any Test Name will show the previous values of the
same test of the same patient.
Double clicking on “Action” Column will show the menu to Make
New Page (to create Page Brake), Hide This Test , Bold Test Value, Add Com-
ment for a Test.

“Auto Calc” button is for Calculating the Tests like LDL, VLDL, HDL/LDL
Ratio, Bilirubin, Globulin, A/G Ratio, BUN, BUN/Creatinine Ration etc.

“SMS RESULT” button is for sending the selected test report as SMS. The
report should be approved for sending SMS.

The “SAVE” button will save the values and display Print Preview page.
The “VIEW REPORT” button will also show the Print Preview Screen.
PRINT PREVIEW

You can press the “Approve” button if the results are Correct. This will
Enable the “PRINT”, “ExportPDF”, “Email” and “Print this Page” buttons.

“Print This Page” button will print only the Page showing currently on
the screen.

There is “<“ and “>“ buttons to go to next or previous page.

The “Close” button will close the Print Preview page and show the
Result Entry Screen.
RESULT ENTRY
“Review Patient History” button will show the complete history of tests
of the same patient done at our LAB. This will help you to correlate the
present result.
Double clicking on any Test Name will show the previous values of the
same test of the same patient.
Double clicking on “Action” Column will show the menu to Make
New Page , Hide This Test , Bold Test Value, Add Comment for a Test.

“Auto Calc” button is for Calculating the Tests like LDL, VLDL, HDL/LDL
Ratio, Bilirubin, Globulin, A/G Ratio, BUN, BUN/Creatinine Ration etc.

“SMS RESULT” button is for sending the selected test report as SMS. The
report should be approved for sending SMS.

The “View Report” button will show a preview of report before printing.
TESTS AND GROUPS

Go to “Tools” > “Create / Edit Tests” to Create a new Test or Edit exist-
ing tests, Change Test Rates, Test Units, Normal Ranges, Methods etc.

Enter test name here and press


ENTER to filter the test names. ADD, Delete and SAVE tests
TESTS AND GROUPS

Go to “Tools” > “Create / Edit Groups” to Create a new Group or Edit


existing Groups, Change Group Rates. This contains group of tests like
Lipid Profile, LFT, RFT CBC, Urine RE etc. You can create Health Check-
up package also in this.

DEFAULT VALUES

The Default Values are for auto filling Test Results like Blood Groups,
Urine color etc.
DEFAULT VALUES

“Manage Users” is for Creating software users and setting their


Permissions. There are three user Modes. Administrator, Technician In
charge, Technician and Normal User.
Doctors List
and Locations

Doctors List and Locations are automatically Created by the Software


each time a New Doctor Name or Location is entered.. You can Add
Doctor’s details if needed (Address Phone Number, Email etc.)
LAB Details

LAB Details is for setting Lab Details like Lab Name, Address, Phone
Number, Lab working time, Email Address, Email Password Etc.,
Application Settings

Application Settings is for application specific settings like Barcode


Printer, Bill Printer, Report Printer, Data Backup Folder, Report Font
Name etc.
Backup Data

Backup Data is for taking application data backup. This will create a
backup file in the Backup data folder set in the Application Settings.

About menu will display our contact details for help and support.
Emailing Reports
You can send the Test Reports to Patients email address if the email id
is entered during Customer Registration. The Email will be send from
the Laboratory official email address which is configured in LAB Details
The report will be attached to the email as a PDF file.

Sending SMS
You can send the results and notification through SMS also if the SMS
facility is enabled in your software.
