Strength in SWOT analyses of Pocket companion;

Strong Product Portfolio:

Pocket companion has different consumer offerings based on a difference in the


consumer segments. The product portfolio is diverse and includes; office MFDs,
laser printers, laser MFPs, digital production printers etc. The diversity in portfolio
allows the company to target specific segments and reduces the risk of
overdependence on single segments.

Strong R&D:

Pocket companion has been one of the companies looking for


continuous innovation and evolution which is supported by its strong R&D
facilities which allow it to develop disruptive products in all its segments and
categories. The strong R&D helped in building strong Intellectual Property as
pocket companion has received various patents on its innovations.

Marketing:

A company does not reach this level of brand equity without a smart investment
in marketing. Pocket companion is known to be a smart marketer and its ads are
always colorful, showing the capabilities of its printer and giving off an elegance
of its own.

High price and low market.

Defects in products affect image:

Canon, which is known for superior performance has also faced controversies in
terms of product defects. For instance, Canon acknowledged defects in Rebel T6s
and T6I DSLRs in 2015. This affects the brand image and trust in the company.

Brand only recognized by Imaging Products:

Pocket companion has been popular worldwide for its imaging products like
printers etc. but its other products such as projectors are not so popular and
hence there is a lack of recognition and awareness.

One of best opportunities to our company is moving easily to another country in


case of best performance;

Electronics Market:

The performance of electronics market is going to increase with a CAGR of 2.7%


till 2019. The value is expected to become $299 billion by 2019.

3D printing:

According to estimates 3D printing technologies are expected to take high


growth. The 3D market will reach a value of $30.2 billion by 2022 with a CAGR of
28.5%. Worldwide shipments of 3D printers grew by 103% in 2016.
Growth in Universal Consumer Electronics market:

Consumer electronics are electronic devices that are meant for everyday usage,
typically in the communications, entertainment, and office productivity sectors.
Consumer electronics include: computers, smart phones, cameras, video
recorders, game consoles, GPS navigators, musical recording and playback
equipment, and video media.

Threat in the SWOT Analysis of pocket companion:

Competition:

Competition in the personal systems segment are Lenovo, Dell, Acer, ASUSTeK,
Apple, Toshiba, and Samsung and In the printing segment are Canon, Lexmark,
Xerox, Seiko Epson, Ricoh, Samsung and Brother Industries.

Product Challenges:

The growth of personal computer product line has slowed down. The printing line
also has many competitors and is facing a growth decline.

Shrinking printers Industry:

When other companies and other industry inter in market ,then competition will
be higher and our product demands will be lower in market.

Rapid changes in Technology:

When our product is previous technologies not a latest technology. Then other
product of printers are held new and latest technologies and launched in market
.and then our product is not satisfied in market place.
