A new block of portable homes for those in
need of refuge are now part of the Bacchus
Marsh community.
The six units, part of the State Government’s
Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Action
Plan, have popped-up in Queens Crescent,
Bacchus Marsh.
A letter, from DHHS to residents of the
area stated the land “has been chosen as

[2018].”
“We expect to build six relocatable units on
the site – five for recently homeless people
and a sixth for support staff. It is anticipated
that the units will be built and residents

from October 2018.
Although no building permit issue is listed
on the Moorabool Shire Council website,

Round 2: DARLEY V BACCHUS MARSH

On a day made special with the solemnity of our ANZAC commemorative ceremony, the Local
Derby matches drew a big crowd and provided plenty of entertainment. Darley controlled the footy
field with 3 out of 3 wins against the Cobras. The Marsh controlled the Netball courts winning 5 out
of the 6 games. The Light/Wheelahan medals for Darley were awarded to Mel Freeman and Mark
Hansen. Our thanks go to Mrs Michele Light and Mrs Lucille Wheelahan for presenting the awards.
We were honoured with the presence of our local RSL representatives and were pleased to have
both State MP for Melton, Steve McGhie and Federal Member for Ballarat, Catherine King attend in
support of this great sporting tradition. All in all, a great day for the community.

Seniors: Despite the Devils staying in front for most of the game this was a see-sawing effort with
