Touch Rugby Introduction

Over the 6-week program the year 8 students will be learning the basic skills and rules to the game of Touch Rugby. Through
cooperative and hands on learning the students will develop a better understanding of the complex skills, strategies and tactics to
perform these in a open environment, such as a modified Touch Rugby game. Students will learn how to confidently pass to their peers,
demonstrate the correct restart when necessary and demonstrate tactics in evasion games concerning both offensive and defensive
positions. By week 6 the students will have confidence in their skills and understanding of the game rules to successfully take part in a
Round Robin, competitively using their knowledge and umpiring when delegated.
