percent CDU compared to 14 percent nationally).

14 percent nationally).

Transportation:
Bus:Metro allows college students to have a discounted tas bus card they can get, if their
school is in their list of candidates. If their school in not, like Charles Drew University, you can
always fill out a form for your school to be added to the list of schools. Pass offers unlimited
rides.
Driving: I will be living at home so I will need to pump $200 of gas monthly as the drive
is 11 minutes daily. Insurance for new drivers will be $175 under my parents full coverage plan.
Parking
There is no permit available for parking as it is in a public area. There is, however, local
parking.

Admission:

There is a 32% percent acceptance rate for their medical school, making this a really competitive

school.

Graduation Rate

There is an 78.1% graduation rate.

Campus Size
The actual campus is 11 acres.
Campus Environment
This school is actually really small and does not offer a lot of activities or sports. This school is
located next to a high school under the same name, that being King Drew High School. This
changes how I perceive the school as it shows to be an urban and familiar area. Although it may
seem beneficial to know the area, it offers very little new experiences.
Majors in the ‘Health Services’ cluster
Biological Sciences.
Data Science.
Physician Assistant.
Public Health.
Radiologic science.
Extracurricular Activities
There are not many extra curricular activities regarding sports or clubs but there are plenty of
student body government opportunities that I have experience in. If o do decide to attend
Charles Drew University then I will be more of an asset to the school then just a student.
Student Benefits/ Academic Programs
CDU does not offer many student benefits but they do have special programs where students
have access to a learning tutor if they need help. They also have special plans to help students
pay back their student loans.
