SWOT Analysis
5th Grade
After checking and assessing the students' tests I concluded that there are some strong and weak points in my
students' knowledge.
Strengths:
reading comprehension. Most students can understand a written text and solve the task that follows it.
daily activities. More than half of my students were able to write down some daily activities.
object pronoun. Almost all my students were able to solve the exercise completely. vocabulary.
More than half of my students were able to translate a few sentences from Romanian to English, containing the
vocabulary taught in units 5 and 6.
Weaknesses:
present simple. My students encountered difficulties in solving the exercise correctly, especially the
interrogative and negative form. Most students forgot to put the auxiliary verb and at the affirmative form they
misused the endings (-s/-es).
adverbs of frequency. Most students do not know where to put the adverbs of frequency.
Recommendations:
In order to correct the weakness I have identified in my students' knowledge I recommend further practice
regarding present simple and adverbs of frequency with the help of various types of exercises: fill in, put the words in
order, answer the questions etc.
As for the vocabulary, I believe that a revision of it must be done with the help of oral/written dialogue,
sentences writing and translation, so that the students can practice its usage in various real life contexts.
