Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP) is implementing a training and Job Placement
of unemployed youth in Integrated Farming system as skill training domain in rural areas of
Karnataka and Rajasthan. This program is supported by CASE NEW HOLLAND (India) Private
Limited, and aims to train 960 candidates.
Case New Holland Global was the holding company for the Italian public multinational
manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment, established on November 12, 1999,
through the merger of Case and New Holland. Effective 29 September 2013, CNH Global N.V.
and Fiat Industrial S.p.A. were merged into CNH Industrial N.V.CNH's scope included integrated
engineering, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of equipment on five continents. CNH's
operations were organized into three business segments: agricultural equipment, construction
equipment and financial services. As of December 31, 2012, CNH manufactured its products in
37 facilities throughout the world and distributes its products in approximately 170 countries
through approximately 11,500 full line dealers and distributors.
GEOGRAPHICAL FOCUS
The geographical focus of this project is on the rural areas of Karnatka and Rajasthan, covering
Dharwad , Hassan and Jaipur region. According to census 2011, of the total population of
Karnataka state, around 61.33 percent live in the villages of rural areas. In actual numbers,
males and females were 18,929,354 and 18,539,981 respectively. Total population of rural
areas of Karnataka state was 37,469,335. The population growth rate recorded for this decade
(2001-2011) was 61.33%.In rural regions of Karnataka state, female sex ratio per 1000 males
was 979 while same for the child (0-6 age) was 950 girls per 1000 boys. In Karnataka, 4,517,645
children (0-6) live in rural areas. Child population forms 12.06 percent of total rural
population. In rural areas of Karnataka, literacy rate for males and female stood at 77.61 % and
58.32 %. Average literacy rate in Karnataka for rural areas was 68.73 percent. Total literates in
rural areas were 22,649,176.
Of the total population of Rajasthan state, around 75.13 percent live in the villages of rural
areas. In actual numbers, males and females were 26,641,747 and 24,858,605 respectively.
Total population of rural areas of Rajasthan state was 51,500,352. The population growth rate
recorded for this decade (2001-2011) was 75.13%. In rural regions of Rajasthan state, female
sex ratio per 1000 males was 933 while same for the child (0-6 age) was 892 girls per 1000 boys.

Rajasthan, 8,414,883 children (0-6) live in rural areas. Child population forms 16.34 percent of
total rural population. In rural areas of Rajasthan, literacy rate for males and female stood at
76.16 % and 42.20 %. Average literacy rate in Rajasthan for rural areas was 61.44 percent. Total
literates in rural areas were 26,471,786.

to 900 farmers.

DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING MANUALS
Vocation Training
All the Training modules are National Occupation Standard-Quality Approved which include
participants manual and trainer's manual. The training manual is customized for 45 days
classroom training and 15 days on the job training the training manual covers both theoretical
and practical aspects of the related Industry. Apart from that it includes soft skills training.
Integrated farming system training manual covers information on various fields such as
Cropping Systems, Cattle Maintenance, Goat Rearing, Sheep rearing, Poultry Piggery, Rabbit
Rearing, Bee Keeping, Aquaculture, Sericulture, Mushroom Cultivation, Biogas Plant Vermi
composting, Duck Rearing, Turkey Rearing enabling it to be used as per the needs of the farmer

INITIATION OF IFS TRAININGS AT ALL LOCATIONS
After the successful completion of base line survey and development of training manual
integrated farming system (IFS) training is initiated in all the three locations with 30 students a
batch. The training is being conducted by the trainers with good experience in the field .The
course curriculum covers topics as per the needs of the farmers discovered in base line survey.

• Establishment of Training Centers
For the efficient conduction of the program, Purchase of two CASE Backhoe Loader has been
completed for the Skill Development training in Jaipur and Dharwad. We are planning to start
the training in the next week at Jaipur.
