 Concept Summary
Coal Washing Process

The coal washing process can be separated to be 3 system as follow : main process,
tailing process, water and treatment process.
- Main Process
In the process flowsheet, there are 2 major steps in washing coal :
1. Take out CLAY by SCRUBBER (Scrubber is Rotating Cylinder Drum with Water)
2. Take out STONE by JIG (Jig separate stone out by using water-wave which,
generated by air pulse).
- Tailing Process
Main purpose of the tailing process is to send 100% of Tailing to tailing sump and pumping
by tailing pump go to settling pond. In the tailing pump.
- Water and Treatment Process
This process is balancing circulating a lot of water in entry process, many water nozzles and
water spray heads shall be used for wash coal process. Water from clear water pum
(capacity 400 cu.m/hr ).
