Activity 7: Vectors
Answer: The relationship of the reading on the scale to the resultant of the three vectors
are directly proportional. The higher is the reading, the higher the resultant of the three
vectors or vice-versa.
2. Are the resultant vectors different from the equilibrants? If so, in what way?
Answer: Yes, the resultant vectors and equilibrant differ from each other because, even
though they have the same magnitude, still, these two have different or opposite
directions.
3. In each of the three cases, how do you expect the measured, graphical, and
computed values for both the resultant and the equilibrant should turn out?
Answer: It is expected that these three methods in solving the resultant and equilibrant
for which we have solved for the measured, graphical, and computed values would be
really close to each other or the values are the same as well.
4. In your actual measurements and computations in each of the three cases, are the
measured, graphical, and computed values different from each other? If so, then
account for the differences.
Answer: The measurement of the actual measurements and the computed computations
of the three cases are different in measured, graphical and computed. Even though they
differ but at least the values are close to each other. Lastly, a minimal change on the
angle and or even the force can give us big changes on the values.
