General terms and conditions:
1. Rates exclude 12% VAT. Value added tax to be applied wherever applicable.
2. Import clearance is based on normal clearance procedures. Securing of government exemptions/permits, if any are excluded
and will be quoted separately.
3. Consignee must have a valid import license accredited by the Bureau of Customs.
4. We will not be held liable for any delay, damage or losses of cargo due to force majeure, fortuitous event and other causes
beyond our control, otherwise not attributable to our fault or negligence.
5. Port storage/container demurrage and detention charges, any penalty as well as 3rd party charges are excluded, amounts are
based on tariff, actual outlays as per official receipts, shall be billed.
6. Removal of road obstacles, if any, are not included in our scope and for your account.
7. All permits need to enter/exit the working area to be provided by client at no cost to SINOTRANS (Phil) Inc.
8. All above charges are exclusive of government tax or import duty. Duty and tax is payable directly to customs & excise. We
shall advise you of the duty amount incase levied.
9. Min 15 working days advance notice prior to cargo arrival required for documentation and arrangement for equipment.
10. For safety, SINOTRANS (Phil) Inc shall perform the transport & loading during good weather condition.
11. Other applicable surcharges, such as Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF), War Risk Surcharge (WRS), Currency Adjustment
Factor (CAF) and Peak Season Surcharge (PSS), CIC (container Imbalance Surcharge) are variable costs and are subject to
increase as per Carrier.
12. Terms of payment: 50% advance payment on the total invoice before the vessel arrival, the other final payment should be
completed when the cargo reach destination, 10 days from receipts of our invoice.
13. Freetime and detention charges as following:
a. chassis & flatbed trailer: 4 hours from arrival at site. Detention charge at USD 20.00 per hour/truck to be charged after the
free time. Detention excess 12 hours will be charged additional one trip;
b. lowbed trailer: one day each from arrival at port and at delivery site. Detention charges at USD 750.00 per day /trailer to
be charged after the expiration of the free time.
14. In the event that shipping line cannot accept the container beyond the free waiting time (6 hours) , additional USD 100/cntr is to be
charge per 12 hours.
