2. On N values.
N values are reflected on the borehole log of each borehole field works.
3. On Cohesion
These values are dependent on the SPT values from field works of each borehole at specific
depth, and also a function of the correlated angle of friction that varies also with depth and soil
strata. These values are used in the analysis of the soil pile interaction capacities.
4. On other parameters, please specify your concerns as there are so many parameters that may
be in the list but is not needed in the determination of the appropriate design of the foundation.
If you require the parameters on the seismic near source factor Na, Ca, Cv, etc
Once you have the distance from nearest possible earthquake generator, which is 19.1km, you
may get these values from NSCP .
5. On sieve analysis.
In this report, the general classification of soil, from finer to coarser materials are reflected on
the borehole log. These are based on the general impression of the soil sample without the use
of any apparatus like the mechanical sieve. These are, in order of particle size, clay material, silt
material, sand material, and gravel material. Detailed grain size analysis then are performed
after the making of the borehole log. There is a spreadsheet computer program that performs
the automatic classification of the soil sample. This is now what you see in the output of the
grain size analysis. The internal calculation process of this program has the following algorithm
