New Computer software system

The session’s objective will be as follows:

 Introduction- talking about history and why we are changing to a new software.

 Lesson content- going over PowerPoint slides and pointing out major icons that will be daily

used.

 Learning activities- quizzing the audience what icon represents what.

 Conclusion- Summarizing the content.

To assemble the draft given above, session will start with a fun introduction with a lot of

energy and questions to obtain audience attention. Questions can be asked randomly such as:

why do you think we’re here? Why are we having this huge software change? What can we do

to adapt this change rapidly? How can we work together to make sure everyone is on the same

page? All these questions will help them learn about the changes of software and why the

company has decided to upgrade. During the lesson content objective, all one can do is provide

fact and try clicking on icons to see how icons work and go over each icon to learn what it

does. Learning activities can be a game where we divide the audience into multiple groups and

question them on the content that they just learned. Conclusion can be part of revision if

anyone has any questions or emphasizing on the basic main tools of the software.

Keeping in mind that audience will have cognitive load of information to absorb, I believe that

the draft mentioned above will be just right to practice their learning in a fun way rather than

putting any pressure in mind.

To attain learning objectives, the end goal which is the latter, should be simply dispensed to the

audience by keeping it very simple and to the point. Things to perform this task should be the

ones that audience is already familiar with. Such as: projector, board, markers, and

microphone.

List of resources need for each learning objective:

Introduction- microphone to engage audience during question session.

Lesson Content- projector, laptop, pointer

Learning activites- paper, pen, prizes (incentives)

An online content can be prepared by uploading this powerpoint to a shared folder on N drive

where every employee would have access to open and read.

Regarding media and other equipment for this session, I’m not sure if it would be a good idea

for the company to share this presentation on social media because of company privacy

reasons. It should be kept confidential in order to stay unique.

This session will certainly enhance knowledge by retaining the information by doing hands on

activities/ competition between groups to emphasize on the taught content. Audience will

definitely remember if activities are done enthusiastically.

A pilot test should be conducted to test the knowledge and test the software in terms of what is

working well and what is not working well. This test to be given to full-time employees after a

month who are using the software every day. One month time-frame is a good time for

employees to provide with realistic feedbacks.
