Parque de la Vida.

Cincuenta metros más arriba del Parque de los Fundadores, está el Parque de
la Vida. Tiene una extensión de 8.2 hectáreas y es propiedad de la Lotería del Quindío EICE y el
Municipio de Armenia; en la actualidad está dado en comodato a la Sociedad de Mejoras Públicas
de Armenia, que lo administra. Tiene una zona boscosa, árboles y jardines en toda su extensión,
un lago con peces, patos y gansos, senderos adoquinados y una cascada en terraza como espejos
de agua que termina en una acequia. El Parque de la Vida tiene graderías al aire libre que terminan
en el lago, dentro del cual hay un escenario cubierto para presentaciones artísticas. También
muestra una construcción en madera, guadua y teja de barro que representa los patios típicos de
las fincas de Armenia, donde se realizan exposiciones de artes plásticas y artesanías. Tiene dos
puentes techados elaborados en guadua y varios quioscos donde las familias pueden servir sus
viandas. Posee un lugar de juegos para niños, parqueadero y un patinódromo. El Parque invita a
caminar por sus senderos, al deporte, al descanso, a descubrir pájaros, ardillas y reptiles, a
escuchar música, a divertirse con la lectura en un lugar tranquilo y apacible.
Park Life. Fifty meters above the Founders Park is Park Life. It has an area of 8.2 hectares and is
owned by the Lottery EICE Quindio and Armenia; today is given as a loan to the Society of Public
Improvements Armenia, which administers it. It has a wooded area, trees and gardens in its
entirety, a lake with fish, ducks and geese, cobbled walkways and terraced waterfall as water
mirrors that ends in a ditch. Park Life has outdoor bleachers ending at the lake, within which there
is a covered stage presentations arti ¬ Statistics. Also shows a construction in wood, bamboo and
clay tile patios representing you ¬ peaks farms Armenia, where exhibitions of plastic arts and crafts
are made. It has two covered bridges made in bamboo and several kiosks where families can serve
your dishes. It has a playground for children, parking, and a skating rink. The Park invites you to
walk its trails, sport, rest, discover birds, squirrels and reptiles, listening to music, having fun with
reading in a quiet and peaceful place.
Estación del Ferrocarril. La antigua estación del ferrocarril fue construida entre los años 1927 y
1930 para albergar la administración, archivos, estadísticas, despachos y bodegas de los
Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Colombia, Ferrocarril del Pacífico, ramales Armenia - Cali -
Buenaventura y Armenia - Nacederos. Se conserva en un 90% de su construcción original.En sus
salas principales se destacan los capiteles, las puertas y ventanas construidas en hierro forjado. El
decorado de sus pisos, especialmente en la entrada principal tiene una alegoría de la época
republicana, lo mismo que las dos grandes puertas centrales, también de hierro con remaches. La
terraza está adornada en sus esquinas con caracoles de concreto y yeso.
El edificio fue declarado por el Consejo Nacional de Monumentos como Patrimonio Nacional en el
año de 1989. Está hecho en un estilo neoclásico del período republicano y conserva algunas
gárgolas que representan animales. Ya no presta el servicio de estación ferroviaria, sino de
biblioteca pública y sede de algunas dependencias del gobierno municipal. También llamada
Centro Cultural Metropolitano La Estación, es una de las construcciones más simbólicas de
Armenia por su estilo republicano y el buen estado de la estructura, donde en la actualidad
funciona una biblioteca pública y algunas oficinas municipales. En esta obra que data del año
1927, se aprecian los sobrios detalles en yeso y las formas en hierro que caracterizan portales,
ventanas y terrazas. La emblemática edificación, que fue declarada patrimonio nacional en 1989,
alberga eventualmente acontecimientos culturales como exposiciones de arte. Cra. 19 No. 29 – 30
Railway Station. The old railway station was built between 1927 and 1930 to house the
administration, archives, statistics, offices and warehouses of the National Railways of Colombia,
Pacific Railway, branches Armenia - Cali - Buenaventura and Armenia - nacederos. It retains 90% of
its construction original.En its main halls stand capitals, doors and windows built in wrought iron.
The decoration of their homes, especially at the main entrance is an allegory of the Republican
era, as well as the two large central doors, also iron rivets. The terrace is decorated at the corners
with concrete and plaster snails.

The building was declared by the National Council on Monuments and National Heritage in the

Museo del Oro Quimbaya, ubicado al norte de la ciudad, ofrece a los visitantes un excelente
montaje de su colección arqueológica correspondiente a la zona prehispánica del Cauca Medio. El
Museo, diseñado por el arquitecto Rogelio Salmona, es Premio Nacional de Arquitectura de la
Bienal 1986-87 y tiene declaratoria como Bien de Interés Cultural de la Nación.

Quimbaya Gold Museum, located north of the city, offers visitors an excellent assembly
corresponding to the area of the Middle Cauca prehispanic archaeological collection. The museum,
designed by architect Rogelio Salmona is National Prize of Architecture from 1986 to 1987 and has
Biennial declaration as Cultural Interest of the Nation.

basketball, volleyball, table tennis, dance and cheerleading are performed, among others.
