Kamini Ezralow

MCOMMEMAISON INTERACTIVE - No. 11

Interior architect Kamini Ezralow,
founder of Ezralow Design, released
the first eight pieces from Bronze,
her first furniture collection, at the
International Furniture Show last
year in Milan. At the April show, she
exhibited the full collection, releasing
eight new pieces to enthusiastic
acclaim.
The full collection went on display
starting July 18 in an exhibition at
the WOOD WORK Showroom in
Monaco. For the Bronze collection,
Kamini Ezralow drew her inspiration
not only from the material used as
a finish or details on each piece, but
also from what this noble material
represents: longevity, classicism,
tactility, and elegance.
Kamini Ezralow launched her first
furniture collection, Bronze, in
collaboration with the Italian family-
owned company, Orsi. Bronze is an
homage to traditional Italian art and
this expresses contemporary luxury.
Orsi is located in the Cabiate region
of Italy, a region synonymous with
skilled craftsmanship.
It is home to metallurgists, scrap-
metal merchants, cabinetmakers,
wood carvers, bronze smiths, lacquer
workers, and specialist upholsterers.
Kamini Ezralow consciously sought
to create a collection that brings
together the talents passed down
from generation to generation with
the attention for design, believing
it is essential to pay homage to art
through the idea of luxury today.

Whatever the application, design and decoration reflect an era above all else. It's
a snapshot of society at any given moment. Starting in 1977, the euphoria of the

Lightweight, flexibility, and structural intelligence all form his credo. He then discovered the many applications in

Born in 1976, Ghizlane LAZRAK is
a young self-taught painter.
Since childhood, she has been
passionate about artistic activities,
with a pronounced interest in drawing
and painting.
She approaches different techniques
like drawing, charcoal, and oil and
acrylic paint.
Today, Ghizlane LAZRAK is a
contemporary artist who doesn't
hide her attraction to expressionism
and the abstract.Over the course
of exhibitions and tests, the visual
artist tries to create in her canvases a
fascinating world where color is king.
"I have a fondness for contemporary
painting, expressionist or abstract.
As I paint, my paintings make the
decision for themselves.
This unconscious communication
with the canvas, shapes and colors
develops an extraordinary energy in
me that I try to transmit through my
paintings," she explained. And it's an
explosion of colors and feelings that

Artist
My name is Samin Ghiasi, I live in Lon-
don, United Kingdom. I am 26 years old
and I am a fashion photographer and
digital retouching artist. I created PhotoPil-
low in my spare time starting in February
2013, and I have gotten a lot of positive
feedback, and that really encourages me
to keep going!
My photos are printed in very high quality
on square pillow cases (available in three
different sizes), and on fashion trends,
and also whatever pleases me in general.
I really like to play with colors and shapes.
My images are mainly still lifes, or abstract
images.

The designer of this new-

standard hotel, Philippe
Starck chose not to restrict
himself to a uniform style.
"It is a sophisticated cocktail

surprises, tenderness, and
unexpected sculptures.

To create the rooms, Philippe Starck channeled
the ghost of Madame de Pompadour. The hip,
stylish design reflects the sophistication of the
old French aristocracy in naughty little winks of
the eye, like mirrors on the ceiling. But don't

Something beautiful is on the way…

MCOMMEMAISON INTERACTIVE - No. 11

With its many patios, enabling guests to enjoy the climate and atmosphere
so particular to Miami Beach, Philippe Starck takes his guests on a dream
voyage by the seashore, where Latin America, Asia, and the Mediterranean
are fused in an Art Deco-inspired, contemporary design. With soft colors
and vertical lines, abstract patterns and flat roofs, the SLS Miami Beach
is a very Starck interpretation of the Tropical Deco style.
For this exceptional hotel, design, cuisine, and service are the products
of personalities known the world over for their creativity. From the minds
of Sam Nazarian, Philippe Starck, chef José Andrés, and Lenny Kravitz,
comes a surreal luxury boutique hotel. Through its overall design, Philippe
Starck invites us to enjoy a highly intuitive and personalized experience,
combining elegance and typically offbeat French humor.

Chromatherapy, a bonus to give youself…

A massage session in the tub can provide psychological and emotional benefits when com-
bine with chromatherapy. With just a click, you can activate underwater spotlights built into
the tub. Like a rainbow, these spotlights can give off multiple colors, that you can choose as
you wish or as the mood dictates. Keep in mind that colors have an emotional influence,
and we tend to associate a color with a particular state. Green for finding balance, blue for
calm and serenity, red to boost your energy, and orange for a moment of happiness. It's
enough to transform a spa session into an original experience!

They took the chance...

The grandfather clock revisited…
Sylvain Delapré, a clockmaker specializing in mechanism repair, designs
and manufactures contemporary clocks and grandfather clocks, each one
unique, from new or existing mechanisms (salvaged from a family clock,
for example). In the late 19th, century, the grandfather clock, originating in
the Franche Comté region, made its appearance in homes and was a great
success. Today, its tall shape and rustic style are no longer in line with current
decoration trends, but the memories it evokes gives it a sentimental value.
Originally, Sylvain Delapré repaired mechanisms. Then, from mechanisms
he moved on to creation, in order to give new home interiors clocks and
grandfather clocks that have been updated to current tastes and to maintain
a part of French heritage and culture. For example, in his latest creation, he
built a totally new face for an existing grandfather clock mechanism. The
hands were cut by laser, the case made from glass, like a display box, giving
life to the mechanism with its transparency. The lower part is in welded tube,
with patina, making the clock dominate the living room.
