2D CAD format

This option is available in File >> Export >> 2D CAD

2D export is useful when general layout drawing is required. This saves the draftsmen task of
redrawing the general Layout drawing.

Note :- All the different information's are exported to different layers in CAD, so the user can print the
necessary information by shuffling the layers.

Space Frame File Reading

This option is available in Space Frame >> Space Frame File Reading

This option is used to read the generated file (i.e. . anl file )which is generated by Space Frame program.

The .anl file is the file which is generated by Space Frame program after all the analysis have been
performed by Space Frame program.

On selecting the option an window appears as shown

By clicking on button select the . anl file (i.e. .anl file is the file generated by Space frame program after
analysis)

On doing so the window looks as shown

On successful reading of . anl file a confirmation window appears as shown

Note: Care must be taken to see that the correct result file is selected depending on the file generated for
analysis

Column Design (Regular)

This option is available in Design Space Frame >> Design Column (Regular)

This option is used to Design all the Regular columns in the plan.

The column design is done for Each level depending on the factored
worse case out of all the loading combinations

On selecting this option an window appears as shown

Design : To design individual column (select it from the list on left hand side of screen)

Design All : To design all columns at a time

As seen the column is designed for all levels and for all the loading combinations provided in
Tools >> Load combination window.

Update Column Size : On clicking this option the newly designed Column sizes are update to the plan.
on changing the column size the space frame analysis has to be performed again for final update.
since all the offset data and other information's are updated hence reanalysis is necessary

Print : With this button the user has the facility to print report in Text File or in
Spreadsheet.
(If excel printing is selected the report is splashed on the screen after
generation)

Note :-

1) Text file is used for economical printing

2) If generated report is to be manually edited at any later point of time Spreadsheet file generation is
advisable.

3) Spreadsheet file generation requires more time than Text File generation Since Formatting is to be
performed.

Using this results any user can manually Design irregular shape columns or Group column

Beam Design

This option is available in Design Space Frame >> Beam Design

This option is used to design all the Beams in the plan.

Different type of graph can be generated by changing the graph type options

The options available are Moments, Top Steel, Bottom Steel, Shear Force, 6 Dia
Stirrups Spacing, 8 Dia Stirrups Spacing

Level selection : Desired level selection can be done. As soon as the level is selected
list of beams on that level is displayed

Moment Beam Moment
Top Steel Top Steel of Beam
Bottom Steel Bottom Steel of Beam
Shear Force Shear Force of Beam
6 Dia If 6 Dia Reinforcement was used
8 Dia If 8 Dia Reinforcement was used

This values are directly taken from the analysis and factored
Depending on this value the beam will be designed and also on the worst case value the beam will be

designed

This case can be changed by the user from the load combination
