MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COLLEGE OF

ENGINEERING, MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY - GENERAL SANTOS
CITY AND CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF THE PHILIPPINES.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This agreement made and executed by;

The College of Engineering, Mindanao State University with principal address at

Fatima, General Santos City, represented herein by ENGR. DIOMEDES L. TABLO in
his capacity as OIC- Dean herein referred to as the FIRST PARTY,

and

CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, GENERAL SANTOS

CITY, with principal address Brgy. Fatima, General Santos City, represented by MR.
ALLAN P. PUNAY in his capacity as OIC – Manager, herein referred to as the SECOND
PARTY.

WITNESSETH that

WHEREAS, the FIRST PARTY is implementing the 320 hours on the job training of its
five- year degree courses in the College of Engineering.

WHEREAS, in implementation of the said program the FIRST PARTY has to select
industries/companies which can provide opportunities for student trainees to be exposed in
their specific trade areas and in return the student trainees could be part of the manpower
force of the SECOND PARTY.

WHEREAS, the SECOND PARTY being the partner of the government in nation-building
wants to become an instrument in achieving the above-mentioned objective.

WHEREAS, among the opportunities/services/assistance the SECOND PARTY could

extend is to provide actual training to the students in order to reinforce the classroom
instruction being provided by the FIRST PARTY.

WHEREAS, the FIRST PARTY, after a serious consideration on the training opportunities
the SECOND PARTY could provide, decided to select the said company to be one the
collaborator for industry training in attaining the aforementioned objectives.

WHEREAS, the Second Party is not required to provide stipend or any monetary
remuneration to the student-trainee of the first party
NOW THEREFORE, the parties herein hereby agree to the following terms and conditions
as follows:

I. FIRST PARTY OBLIGATION

1. The FIRST PARTY shall be responsible in assigning or recommending

student trainees to the SECOND PARTY.

2. The FIRST PARTY shall be responsible for the accomplishment and

provision of all requirements related to the on the job training in
coordination with SECOND PARTY.

3. The FIRST PARTY shall furnish the SECOND PARTY a copy of the
coverage of the three hundred twenty (320) hours on the job training.

4. The FIRST PARTY has the right to pullout the student trainees from the
SECOND PARTY when it perceives that the training received by the
students do not suit with the coverage being provided for by the curriculum.

5. The FIRST PARTY is not responsible for the actual supervision of the
student trainees during the entire training period.

II. SECOND PARTY OBLIGATIONS

1. The SECOND PARTY shall provide on-the-job training in accordance with

that which was prescribed in the curriculum of the FIRST PARTY.

2. The SECOND PARTY shall supervise and evaluate the performance of the
student trainee and to submit the said performance evaluation to the FIRST
PARTY

3. The SECOND PARTY may or may not provide incentive allowance to the
student trainees.

4. The SECOND PARTY has the right to terminate student trainees when it
perceives them to be exhibiting unacceptable behavior/action not in
accordance with the policies and regulations of the SECOND PARTY.

AMMENDMENTS AND EFFECTIVITY

1. This Memorandum of Agreement may be modified or revised through formal written

agreement between Mindanao State University in General Santos City and CIVIL
AVIATION AUTHORITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, GENERAL SANTOS CITY,
citing therein the clauses to be revised and modified and the corresponding agreed
agreement.

2. This Memorandum of Agreement shall take effect immediately after all the parties hereto
have affixed their signatures and shall continue thereafter unless earlier revoked by
competent authority.
