Set up jog feed of X, Y, Z axis. Select ‘JOG’


mode and X, Y, Z axis of the ‘AXIS
SELECT’ switch. Then, press ‘-’ or ‘+’
6 direction of the ‘JOG RAPID’ button. Set
feed speed by ‘FEED OVERRIDE’. The
movement of each axis by move then 50mm
to the ‘-’ direction.

Push the mode select ‘ZERO RETURN,


8 ZRT’ key and throw ‘JOG & RAPID’
button to X,Y, Z for zero return

Press ‘+’ direction of X, Y, Z of ‘JOG &


RAPID’ feed button, slide is returned to the
9 reference point and zero point lamp lights.
Lamp lights if the slide is on the Zero point,
for all axes.

1 Perform Zero Return Operation, ‘ZRT’


which is for X, Y and Z axis.

Call the program of tool declaration by


pressing the button of ‘MDI’, key in the
2 code of' ‘M06T1;’ continue with the button
of ‘EOB’ and ‘INSERT’. Lastly, press the
‘CYCLE START’ button for starting up the
declaration program.

Press ‘MDI’ and choose the spindle that has
no tool to set up the spindle ‘M0T10’, select
3 the ‘HANDLE’ key and use handle for
movement of X, Y, Z.

- Tool 10, T10 just an example of the


spindle that have no tool.

For a spindle set up, press ‘M05’ and stop


4 the spindle with push the spindle ‘STOP’
button.

5 Place the axial present gauge on the


clamping jig.

Set the gauge to zero ‘0’ reading. Place and


6 push the cylinder gauge until the needle
rotating one cycle, ‘0’ to ‘0’. Then, take out
the cylinder gauge.

Move the spindle by press ‘HANDLE’ key
7 and use handle for movement of X, Y, Z and
make an attachment or touch to the gauge.

Press the ‘OFFSET’ at the operation panel,


8 click ‘WORK’ and set the axis of X, Y, Z to
zero ‘X0’ ‘Y0’ ‘Z0’ by click the
‘MEASURE’ button.

Installation of tools into the machine by
10 pressing jog mode of ‘JOG’ and continue
with ‘TOOL UNCLAMP’ button. Attach
the tools into the holders.

Perform the machine accurate measurement


of tools by pressing ‘MDI’ button and press
11 the program ‘PROG’, key in the code of'
‘M06T1;’ continue with the button of ‘EOB’
and ‘INSERT’, press the ‘CYCLE START’
button.

Presses ‘HANDLE’ and use handle for
12 movement of the spindle. Touch the tool to
the gauge, make sure the gauge rotate one
cycle which is from 0 and rotated back to 0.

13 Insert the specification of the tools in terms
of length and diameter.

Adjust the length by referring to the
operation screen with adding ‘+’ or subtract
14 ‘-’ some values. Then, click the ‘+INPUT’
button, execute the measurement by click the
‘EXCE’ button.

Measure the diameter of the tool by using the


15 Vernier Caliper, the display was shown the
radius of the tools. Adjust the diameter by
repeat the step of 14.

Display the result of machine measurement
by pressing the button of ‘OFFSET’ and the

accurate measurement of TOOL 1 will
appear.

For declaration of the next tool, repeat the


17 step of 12 to 16 for declaration and machine
measurement purpose.

Installation of ‘EDGE FINDER’ into the


machine by pressing jog mode of ‘JOG’ and

continue with ‘TOOL UNCLAMP’ button.
Attach the Edge Finder into the holders.

Place the Parallel Bar before clamping the

work pieces.

Place the work piece between both parallel


3 bars. Knock the work piece and parallel bar
by using a mallet to ensure it fully align.

For a speed of spindle set up, press ‘MDI’
mode button and press program ‘PROG’,
key in the code of ‘M03S1000’ continue
with the button of ‘EOB’ and ‘INSERT’,

press the ‘CYCLE START’ button.

- 1000 is an example speed that can be


used.

To set the X datum, press ‘HANDLE’ jog


mode and used handle for a movement.
Move the edge finder to the side right and
5 left of X axis of the work piece to get the
actual dimension and the value was divided
into 2 at ‘WORK COORDINATE’.

Press ‘SET’ and ‘WORK’ button, key in
6 ‘X0’ and press ‘MEASURE’ at operation
panel.

Stop the spindle by press the ‘MDI’ button


and the program, ‘PROG’ and key in the
code of ‘M05’. Then press ‘HANDLE’ and
use handle to move the edge finder, key in
the code ‘T01-127.807’ and press

‘MEASURE’.

- T01 is an example of tool and


-127.807 is an example of X-axis of
the work piece length.

To set the Y datum, repeat step 5 and 6. Then


8 remove the edge finder by pressing the
‘TOOL UNCLAMP’.

To set the X datum, choose center drill tool
at tool library. Place a small thickness of the
9 paper at work piece and turn to ‘HANDLE’
mode and move the tool until touched the
paper.

10 Press the ‘SET’ button then ‘WORK’ and


set the Z axis value.

Double check by using a G code by pressing
the button of ‘MDI’ at program, ‘PROG’
key in the code of' ‘G90G54G43H1Z50’
continue with the button of ‘EOB’ and
‘INSERT’. Lastly, press the ‘CYCLE
START’ button for starting up the
12 declaration program.

- G90: Absolute program


- G54: Work piece coordinate
- G43: Tool length compensation
- H1: Number of tool
- Z50: Movement length of Z axis
