After the writing process has been completed, give the groups five to ten minutes to practice
performing the commercial. It isn’t too important for them to memorize the lines; they can have
the script in front of them, or use improvisation to get them through the material
Once the groups have created and practiced their advertisement, it is time to perform. Each group
takes a turn presenting their commercial.
4Cs
Critical Thinking - Critical thinking enhances language and presentation skills. Thinking clearly
and systematically can improve the way we express our ideas. The students will be able to think
ideas regarding the product that they will showcase in the commercial. Critical thinking plays a
crucial role in evaluating new ideas, selecting the best ones and modifying them if necessary.
Communication- The group should have good communication because they need to understand
each other and they need to communicate well to the audience. The commercial should clearly
explain the need for the product in the society.
Collaboration- This activity will show collaboration because every member of the group needs
to give his/her ideas and inputs. In doing the commercial, they will also need to be cooperative
with each other to have a good output.
Creativity- The student’s creativity will develop in the activity because they will make a
commercial and be creative in the script and props that they will use. The commercial should be
creative and effectively written and is presented well.
