ever comes first. Even though the business itself is only
open to the public for a short time each year, Barb, Alan
and staff are busy for most of the year preparing. Seed-
ing starts in February, and then after the business closes,
they move into clean-up, fixing and ordering new stock
for next year.
The husband and wife team joke that they make the
perfect pair as Barb likes customers and bookwork and
Alan likes growing and building/creating. Whatever their
secret, they sure have made a name for themselves. The
greenhouse has become a local favourite to many and a
tourist attraction for people visiting the area. “Some peo-
ple come every week to look around, some come more.
