Mr. Davis has done a very nice job with his planning and preparation. He works very hard during planning periods and at
home to make sure that he has lessons that incorporate TEKS aligned activities and learning opportunities. He
consistently includes exploration and warm-ups that directly support the content of the lesson.

Mr. Davis has a very kind demeanor, and he approaches the students with respect. He takes the time to organize the
space and materials at the beginning of the day to prepare for each lesson. Mr. Davis shows great skill in his classroom
management. He uses a variety of techniques and has seamlessly incorporated the established classroom routines into
his teaching. I have observed that Mr. Davis has good instincts and responds appropriately to misbehavior. He has also
developed a variety of techniques to praise student accomplishment and instill excitement and pride.

Mr. Davis has shown great improvement in the delivery of his instruction. The procedures are clear, and he does a good
job presenting quality explanation of instruction. Mr. Davis continues to work on assessing student performance and
adjusting the lesson to help the students become more successful.

Mr. Davis is very professional, and shows a desire for professional growth. He has attended all campus sta
developments and meetings, and even attended an optional o -campus Central Texas Or workshop on a Saturday.
Supervisor’s Summary Comments: Mr. John Davis makes a concerted e ort to challenge negative behavior and to ensure
that all of his students participate in a positive manner during his music classes. He displays exceptional standards of
honesty and integrity with his colleagues and cooperating teacher. He fully complies with school and district regulations,
and returns to school in the evening for important PTA choral performances. John listens to suggestions and supports the
ideas of his university supervisor. Professional in dress and demeanor, Mr. Davis has showed that he is a trustworthy
student teacher; he works hard and is ready for the challenge of being a full-time music educator.
