The butterfly method for comparing fractions and see which fraction is greater than, 3.H. Compare two fractions having the same numerator
less than, or equal to. or denominator in problems by reasoning about their
sizes and justifying the conclusion using symbols,
words, objects, and pictorial models.

Information We will be using a white board. We will start with reviewing with

will move onto different denominators.

I will pass out a fraction card for them to work on during class. This
worksheet will be placed in a clear sleeve protector so that the
students can use dry erase markers to work out the problem. When
they finish their fraction problem then they can trade with a
classmate. As they work I will walk around to assist them if needed.
