OBJECTIVE ACHIEVED SUCCESSFULLY

THE MAIN AIM OF MAKING THIS PROJECT IS TO RUN THIS

PROJECT IN EVERY COLLEGE AND TO MAINTAIN THE
RECORD OF EVERY TRANSACTION DONE IN COLLEGE,
WHICH HELPS IN EVERY POSSIBLE MANNER. THIS
PROJECT IS DEVELOP SUCCESSFULLY AND IT COULD BE
APPLIED TO ANY COLLEGE.
FRONT END (VB 6.0)

VISUAL BASIC 6.0 IS THE POPULAR VERSION OF THE

PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE. THIS ENVIRONMENT IS TO
DEVELOP ROBUST. ATTEND ALONE APPLICATION AND
UTILITIES IS LESS TIME THEN IT USUALLY TAKES IN
OTHER LANGUAGE. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT HAS BEEN
ALL EASIER WHAT WITH THE LANGUAGE SUPPORTING
THE OOPS CONCEPT.
BACK END (MS ACCESS 2003-O7)

MS ACCESS IS A DBMS . A DATABASE SYSTEM IS

BASICALLY A COMPUTER BASED RECORD KEEPING
SYSTEM. THE COLLECTION OF DATA, USUALLY
REFERRED TO AS THE DATABASE, CONTAINS
INFORMATION ABOUT ONE PARTICULAR ENTERPRISE. IT
MAINTAINS ANY INFORMATION BE NECESSARY TO THE
DECISION MAKING PROCESS INVOLVED THE
MANAGEMENT OF THAT ORGANIZATION.
DEFINITION OF PROBLEM

THE PROBLEM WITH EXISTING SYSTEM IS THAT. IT IS

NOT PROVIDING EXAM FACILITY WITH THE HELP OF
COMPUTER. FOR EXAMINATION GENERALLY PAPER AND
PENCIL ARE USED WHICH REQUIRES SO MUCH HUMAN
EFFORT AND TIME. THIS PROJECT HELPS TO SOLVE SUCH
PROBLEM.
SYSTEM ANALYSIS

FEASIBILITY STUDY

An initial investigation terminates in a proposal that

determines whether an alternative system is feasible. Feasibility
study can be categorized into three major parts
(1) TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY :-

 The proposed system has technical capacity of required to

hold the data.
 This project is efficient and responds quickly for various
enquires regardless
 Of number of locations.
 The system proposed could be expanded easily and
Efficiency, whenever required.
(2) OPERATING FEASIBILITY STUDY:-

The management of the organization has a fully

supported us to bring up the project and the data security in
this project provided by setting up the password procedure
so that only the authorized user can access the system.
(3) OUR PROJECT IS ECONOMICAL FEASIBLE
AS:-
* It has computerized paper works and also is reduced to large
extent* With the help of this project single person is now available
to do the tasks of 5 to 7 persons.
* Due to processing speed of then Computer, we can
extract desired information’s in a fraction of second.

SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION
The final phase of the process is the implementation of the new
system. This phase is the fulmination of the previous phase and will
be performed only after each of the phases has been successfully
completed to the satisfaction of both the users and quality assurance.
The task which comprises the implementation phase includes the
installation of the hardware, proper scheduling of the resource
needed to production of a complete structure that supports both the
user and the environment and the necessary documentation to move
the program and the file in to production.
1. Hardware installation
2. Scheduling / Resources requirement
3. User instruction / Procedure
4. Turnover documentation / certification reviews

The reviews will cover all the documentation that has been
generated for the product. In particular the review will examine the
certification checklist to ensure it has completed and will compare
this checklist to project documentation to ensure that all necessary
items have been developed in addition to the certificates checklist
item, the reviewed to determine they are correct.

1. Program names and libraries

2. Operation documentation
3. Source code documentation
4. Test results

TESTING(TECHNIQUES & STRATEGIES)
TESTING FUNDAMENTALS AND OBJECTIVES

Testing presents an interesting anomaly for the software

engineer. During earlier software engineering activities the engineer
attempts to build software from an abstract concept to a tangible
product.
In testing engineer creates a series of test cases that are
intended to demolish the software that has been built. In fact testing
is the one step in the software process that could be viewed as
destructive rather than constructive.
The primary objective for test case design is to drive a set of
tests that here the highest like hood for uncovering errors in the
software. The other objectives are as follows:
 Testing is a process of executing a program with the intent of
finding an error.
 A good test case is one that has a high probability of finding an
as yet undiscovered error.
 A successful test is one that uncovers as yet undiscovered
errors.

Testing Techniques
 White Box testing

Some times called Glass box testing, is a test case design

method that was control structure of the procedural design. To
derive test cases using these testing methods the software
engineer can derive test cases that: -
 Generate that all in dependent paths within a module has been
exercises at least once.
 Exercise all logical decisions on there true and false sides.
 Executes all loops at their boundaries and within their
operational bounds.
 Exercise internal data structure to issue their validity.

 Black Box testing

Black box testing also called behavioral testing focuses on
the functional requirement of the software i.e. black box testing
enables the software engineer to derive sets of input conditions
that will fully exercises all functional requirements for a program.
It attempts to find the following categories of errors.
 Incorrect and missing functions.
 Interface errors.
 Errors in data structures or external database access.
 Behavioral and performance errors.
 Initialization and termination errors.
Unlike white box testing which is performed early in the testing
process black box testing tends to be applied during later stages of
testing.
TESTING STRATEGIES

 Unit Testing

Unit testing comprises the set of tests performed by a

individual program prior to integration of the unit into a larger
system.

 Coding & debugging Unit testing Integration testing

A program unit is usually a small enough that the

programmer who developed it can test it in great details.
There are four categories of test that a program will
typical perform on a project
 Functional test
 Performance test
 Stress test
 Structure test

 System Testing
System testing is a series of different tests whose primary
purpose is to fully exercise the computer-based system. It
verifies that system elements have been properly integrated
and Performa allocated functions.
The different types of system test are applied are as
follows.
 Recovery testing.
 Security testing.
 Stress testing.
 Performance testing.
 Alpha & beta testing

A customer conducts the Alpha test at the developer’s

site. The software is used in a natural setting with the
developer “looking over the shoulder” of the user and
recording errors and usage problems. Alpha tests are
conducted in a controlled environment.
The Beta test is conducted at one or more customer sites
by end-user of the software. Unlike alpha testing the developer
is generally not present. Therefore, the beta test is a “live”
application of the software in an environment that cannot be
controlled by the developer. The customer records all problems
(real or imagined) that are encountered during beta testing and
reports these to the developer at regular intervals. As a result of
problem reported during beta tests, software engineers make
modifications and then prepare for replace of the software
product to the entire customer base.

SYSTEM SECURITY MEASURES
SYSTEM SECURITY MEASURES
Any system that interacts with the environment exchanges
information in lieu of data required for its operation. The data
received has to be provided sufficient security normally called
databases security. It is only possible when the system is secure
from the impurities of the environment, which is normally called
system security.
Application Security

The access to the various application in the software developed

showed be restricted to an authorized user. The user before login in
may give away a password for accessing the system and the various
applications thereof depending on the importance they carry.
Database Security

The database forms the basic for running a system to obtain the
required output hence the database security major factor which
considering the user should keep in mind which considering
system/database security. The integrity of the system in terms of
system requirement and user requirement is of greater importance
for any system developer. The database once stored may not be
accessed by any user hence database should be permanently stored
in the system.
Physical Security

In this project an attempt is made to restore the physical

components against the damages occurring due to various factors
such as temperature, environmental distribution, power distribution.
To protect the system and its software against such distribution the
system developer should provide sufficient backup facility and
shield it from virus.
CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION

Now days computerizations of existing manual system is

going on a large scale because of the versatility, speed,
accuracy and diligence it offers to its users. Computers
provide practical means to organize things systematically
and economically in the organization the use of computers
for managing transactions; information processing and
preparation of reports can prove to be a blessing.

The project is discussion is an attempt to attain all the

above said objectives. Its development was mean to replace
the manual system and to achieve the goal to maximum
accuracy and most efficiently. But like every other system
might process faults to its credits and has its own limitation.
Neglecting these few negations, the project can be called a
stepping stone to automate processes in organizations.
