Reflection of Highschool
Over the past four years I have grew as a student, which shows in grades over the years.
Starting freshman year my grades were decent. I had a few rough classes the first two years of
highschool such as spanish and biology. Yet, through my transcripts it can be viewed as
tremendous growth and self discipline. As I have got older I have gained a lot more self
discipline. Having self discipline is essential when going to school especially in college where
school work is extremely harder than the work we are use to. I also believe my schooling has
become a lot better experience because I got involved in a school sport my sophomore year.
Being in a sport motivates student athletes to do better in school because if grades aren’t met we
don’t get the luxury to play in the sports we have grown to love. My junior year I really got a
grip on school and the importance of maintaining good grades. Still being involved in a school
Senior year, the year full of excitement, anxiousness, and fun. This year has been the
absolute best out of my four years of high school academically. I’ve gained some of my best
friends this year, have had ten times more fun than I have in the past three years, and have so
many more experiences/opportunities this year. My grades and classes have been the best out of
these four years. My attendance and tardies has been a problem going into spring semester
because of underlying family issues but I am continuing to push everyday and let these problems

affect me as little as possible during my schooling. Overall I’m happy with my grades, of course
there is always room for improvement but coming this far from the position I have been in has
My high school experience hasn’t been the funnest because I have tendencies to stay in
and keep to myself but starting senior year everything changed. I have changed tremendously as
a person from starting freshman year up until now. I am grateful for each and every experience I
have encountered because ultimately those experiences have made me the person I am today.
Yes, I could have done better in school. I could have created a stabler foundation for myself the
start of freshman year but I am the person I am today because of all of that and I wouldn’t have it
any differently. I am proud of myself because I’m doing great as a student, have been the most
involved in school my senior year, and my mother and I have beat a statistic. Eighteen years ago
my mother had me at the age of 17. She inspires me everyday, yet she also tells me she wanted
me to be a better person than she was and I remind myself everyday to push for a better life than
