INTRODUCTION

Background of Study

Years pass by, day by day, technology is changing from a simple device to

an advance machines. By its definition technology is the application of scientific

knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry. Machinery and equipment

developed from the application of scientific knowledge. The branch of knowledge

dealing with engineering and applied science. Technology improves lives, like

better communication, transportation and entertainment.

Information Technology is the application of computers to store, study,

retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data or information, often in the context of a

business or other enterprise. IT is considered a subset of information and

communication technology (ICT). As a students of Information Technology major

in Network and Web Application, the proponents are capable of creating a

responsive websites.

Angelitos Pizza and Restaurant start as a simple store that sells school

supplies and house decorations the Manager also franchise red bucks. On the

same year the company start to build the Angelitos Pizza and Restaurant. The

company starts on a small size room managed by Mrs. Fely Mariano and Mr. Gary

Mariano. The company begin their restaurant with its delicious nachos and their

yummy super-size pizza. As the years goes by, the Angelito’s Pizza and

Restaurant grow bigger. The Angelito’s Pizza and Restaurant start to add more

meals and drinks on their menu. After a months the company offers ordering. The

Angelito’s Pizza and Restaurant begun to expand acquiring larger size of their and

the company now offer their function room for reservation. The company used

social media like facebook and the company also used landline for reservation.

Until now the company are operating.

The propose system which is Online Event Reservation and Billing System

with SMS Notification is a system that will manages the clients assessing the

customer for organized event reservation. The goal of this project is to help the

company to more organize reservation and also give the clients more convenient

way of reservation. It also helps the company to record reservation data from its

database for inventory.

Statement of the Problem

The main problem of the study is how to develop a way of reserving events

through online at Angelito’s Pizza and Restaurant. Giving more organize way of

providing their client of reserving an event at Angelito’s Pizza and Restaurant.

Specific Problems

 How the system generate a report for the customer bill?

 How the system will accept the information of the clients?

 How to store the data of the clients?

 How does the clients know if there is any other clients reserve on that

specific day or time?

 How does the customer logged in on the system?

Objectives of the Study

The main objective of the study is to provide an Online Event Reservation

and Billing System with SMS Notification for Angelito’s Pizza and Restaurant that

will give more convenient way for the client.

a. The information of the clients will be accepted by the system

though its reservation module;

b. The data of the clients will be stored through its database

c. The clients can check if there is another client reserve on the

same day or time through its Event Calendar.

d. The customer can log in on the website through the login

module.

e. The customer can view the foods offer by Angelito’s Pizza and

Restaurant through its menu page.

 Create a system using PHP, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop, and

Bootstrap. Browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera browser,

Dolphin Browser, Internet Explorer, UC Browser and android default

browser. for software requirements and Computer System, router, hub,

smartphone, pc, laptops, smart watch and smart T.V. for hardware

requirements

  Test and improve the system in terms of functional suitability, performance,

portability; and

 Evaluate the acceptability of the system based on functional suitability,

performance, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability and

portability.

Scope and Limitations of the Study

Angelitos Pizza and Restaurant Online Event Reservation and Billing

System with SMS Notification that will give a reservation and billing procedures for

the customers of the restaurant and also for the admin to get the information about

the customers. The customer can avail the service through the registration and

login module. The customer must be log in first to be able to apply for the

reservation.

The system can allow the authorize staff on storing and maintaining the

information about the customers. It can be change by adding, deleting and editing

the stored information. The admin can view the list and full information of registered

users. The admin can view the list and full details of reservations. The admin can

also view the feedbacks and delete the unfavorable feedback.

The website can allow the customers to view the different foods and the

appropriate package that can satisfy the customer’s needs. The customer can be

able to choose a specific time for reservation with the specific foods. The staff can

be able to check if the chosen time is available. The client can be also view if the

date will be available or not using the Event Calendar. After the customer set date

and foods that will be serve, the customer will go to the billing process which the

customer can pay for down payment or full payment. The system can accept

payment through gcash and gcash partners. After a successful payment, the

system will notify the customer through its SMS notification module.

The system is created a system using PHP, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, Adobe

Photoshop, and Bootstrap. Browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera

browser, Dolphin Browser, Internet Explorer, UC Browser and android default

browser. For software requirements and Computer System, router, hub,

smartphone, pc, laptops, smart watch and smart T.V. for hardware requirements.

The system can be evaluated using the ISO 25010:2011 based form functional

suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security,

maintainability and portability.

The system was created and developed with the use of following

requirements, for software requirements which consist of Android Operating

System together with Filezilla and PHP for web-based application and database

system. And also MySQL for database server and for the security of database

system. Adobe Photoshop CS6 for the designing of images. Notepad or

Notepad++ for coding And Windows Operating System for personal computers.

For hardware requirements which consist of computer system for the maintenance

of the system, Android device for the use of mobile application and modem for the

internet connection of computer system. The system can be evaluated using the

ISO 25010:2011 based form functional suitability, performance efficiency,

compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability and portability.

 The system can’t allow users to attain the service that are not logged in.

The system can’t perform online ordering.

Significance of the study

The company gain more popularity by the used of this website. Also helps

the company to improve the reservation process and managed their client.

The client any individuals who are not belong to Angelito’s Pizza and

Restaurant can now acquire a reservation to Angelito’s Pizza and Restaurant

without hassle the customer can apply online if the customer don’t have time to go

to the restaurant.

Angelito’s Pizza and Restaurant provide data and information to the

proponents.

Client serves as a beta tester that will provide feedback and suggestions to

the company that will serves as a guide to further upgrades.
