 Getting started
All procedures, which are described in this file, are based on Microsoft® Windows® XP,
WIN7, VISTA. Modify the steps if you are using a different version of Windows.
System Requirements:
The tables below list requirements for different installation options of Digital
Technology. The Notes that identified here apply to both tables.

1. System Requirements for Installing Digital Technology

1.1 Hardware
1.1.1 Web Server

Processor Pentium IV or higher

Memory 1GB RAM or higher
Modem/ADSL Connecting to internet 24/24

1.1.2 Client

Processor Pentium III or higher.

Memory 512MB RAM or greater.
Monitor Super VGA (1366x768) or higher resolution with 256 colors.
Pointing Device Microsoft Mouse, Microsoft IntelliMouse®, or compatible
pointing device.
Modem/ADSL Connecting to internet
1.2 Software
1.2.1 Web Server

Operation System Windows 2000/XP/2003 or higher.

Browser Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher.
Database Microsoft SQL Server 2012
Software IIS 6.0
ASP
1.2.2 Client

Operation System Windows XP or higher.

Browser Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher.
2. Setup Microsoft SQL Server 2012:
2.1 Open SQL Server Configuration Manager:
Start > All programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2012 > Configuration Tools > SQL

2.2 Configure TCP/IP:
Step 1: Set TCP/IP:
Right Click TCP/IP > Properties (in Protocols for MSSQLSERVER)

Select IP Addresses tab

On IP1, set value for IP Address and TCP Port:

IP Address: 127.0.0.1

TCP Port: 1433

Click Ok button

Step 2: Enable TCP/IP:

Right Click TCP/IP > Enable

Select OK

Result: TCP/IP is enabled

Step 3: Restart SQL Server 2012 to apply change:

Select SQL Server Services -> Right click SQL Server

(MSSQLSERVER) -> Restart

3. Setup Digital_Tech Database:

3.1 Open MS SQL Server 2012 Management Studio:

Start > All programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2012 > SQL Server
Management Studio

Input your Login name and password > Click Connect

3.2 Setup database: Open DigitalTech.sql file to setup database:

Menu File > Open > Files…

Select DigitalTech.sql file in Project1 > Database, click Open

Execute DigitalTech.sql file to create Digital_Tech database (Click
Execute button on toolbar or Press F5 on keyboard).

Right Click Databases > Refresh

Result: appear the Digital_Tech database in Databases folder

Create database successfull.

3.3 File Connection:
Step1: Select ‘cnn.asp’ file in Project1 > Connections , Right Click

Step2: Choose, Open with > Notepad

Step3: Edit Follow your SQL
+Server=’your SQL’ example (Server=localhost, Server=. ,…..)
+Uid= ’your SQL ’ example(Uid=sa, Uid=Mycomputer, ….)
+Pwd=’your SQL’ example(Pwd=123, Pwd=abc,…. )

Step4: Choose, File > Save same picture 1.2

And close the window ‘cnn.asp’.

4. Setup IIS:

Step 1: Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features
Step 2:Choose Turn Windows Features on or off

Step 3: Display Windows Features , choose Internet Information Services

Step 4: Press button OK > Finsish

Note: choose all combonents inside IIS

5. Publish Website:
After install WebServer
Step1: Create folder to publish web on hardware , example:
(D:\Project1)
Step2: Press Start > Control Panel
Step3: Choose Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services

Step4:Press the arrow before the computer name (example:
L3NHAN) to display same picture 1.5
Step5: Press the arrow before ‘Sites’
Step6: Right click on Default Web Site > Add Virtual Directory

Step7: Enter ‘Project1’ in field Alias (same name site yahoo,
hotmail, google…) picture 1.6
Step8: Press button ‘…’ > choose folder had create before
(D:\Project1)
Step9: Press button ‘OK’ Finsh.

Step10: Open Browser(Google Chrome, Coc coc,…)

Enter in the address bar: ‘localhost/Project1/index.asp’
will display same picture 1.7
