RESUMEN

TITULO: IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE UNA PLATAFORMA WEB COMO ESTRATEGIA

DE APRENDIZAJE DE LOS NÚMEROS ENTEROS EN GRADO SEXTO.

La investigación surgió cuando se determinaron las fortalezas y debilidades de los estudiantes

de grado sexto en el área de matemáticas, tomando como base las pruebas Supérate 2018 y
un examen diagnóstico realizado a estos. Por lo tanto, se propone implementar una
plataforma web, como recurso interactivo y didáctico que facilite el desarrollo de las
actividades académicas propuestas en el área.

Durante la fase de diseño se aplicaron instrumentos de recolección de información entre ellos

observación no participante, entrevista a padres de familia, encuesta a estudiantes, docentes
y un pre-test, una vez hecho su respectivo análisis, se concluyó que era pertinente capacitar
a la comunidad educativa en lo concerniente a las TIC, específicamente en el manejo de la
plataforma web. Además, todo esto fue clave para la implementación de la herramienta TIC
en la institución educativa.

En la fase de desarrollo se diseñaron y ejecutaron las actividades interactivas haciendo uso

de la plataforma web, logrando así que los estudiantes de grado sexto estimularan el
pensamiento lógico matemático.

Durante la fase de validación se realizaron encuestas, pos-test y observación participante a

los estudiantes de sexto, de esa manera se pudo evaluar, mediante el uso de la plataforma
web, el fortalecimiento lógico matemático. Es importante comentar que un gran número de
estudiantes mostraron avance en el área, específicamente en la temática que se planteó en el
curso propuesto (Números Enteros).

Luego de hacer uso de los distintos instrumentos de recolección de datos, y cumplir a

cabalidad la fase diagnóstica, de desarrollo y validación, se concluyó que los estudiantes
mostraron un mayor interés en el área razón por la cual se incrementó de manera considerable
su rendimiento académico, luego de haberse implementado la plataforma web.

TITLE: THE USE OF A WEB PLATFORM AS A LEARNING STRATEGY TO TEACH

A GROUP OF SIX GRADERS WHOLE NUMBERS.

This research project came out when the sixth graders’ maths strengths and weaknesses were
determined. It was done through the results of Superate Test 2018 and a specific diagnostic
test. Consequently, a web platform was proposed to be implemented as an interactive and
didactic resource in order to facilitate the development of the academic tasks stated in the
area.

Through the design stage, some data collection instruments were applied such as non-
participant observation, parents’ interviews, students’ and parents’ surveys and a pre-test. As
the analysis was carried out, it was concluded that the learning community needed basic ICT
training, especially in the use of web platforms. Moreover, this process was crucial to the
implementation of the ICT tool of the project at this high school.

At the validation stage, surveys were conducted as well as post tests and the sixth graders
were exposed to non-participant observations. Based on this and on the use of the platform,
it was possible to assess the students’ maths logical progress and its strengthening. It is
necessary to point out that a great number of students made progress in the subject
specifically in the target topic (whole numbers).

After using the different data collection procedures, and coping with the whole diagnosis,
implementation and validation stage, it was concluded that, with the use of the platform, the
students showed more interest in maths which was reflected on all their academic
performance. In addition, it could be demonstrated that the ICT tool played an important role
in the sixth graders’ learning process which could be beneficial in the future not only in maths
but also in other subjects. Thus, this research project made an impact in facilitating the
students’ and teachers’ job at the school.
