ACTIVTY: SHS BUSINESS CARAVAN 2019

DATE: March 8, 2019


TIME: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
VENUE: STSN Quadrangle
OBJECTIVES:
1. To gain relevant and practical industrial skills through research;
2. To appreciate the importance and application of principles in entrepreneurship and
marketing;
3. To enhance the students’ technical knowledge and skills; and
4. To develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation, respect for work and
camaraderie among the students.
THEME:

GUIDELINES:
1. Each group shall prepare a business plan that includes the name of the company or
organization, nature of the organization, and description of the product.
2. Each group will submit an original logo of its business not later than February 21
(Thursday).
3. Part of each group’s preparation is the marketing plan. The members have to
encourage the Teresians to buy their products.
4. The group will set up a booth for its business post. The materials or equipment to be
needed are tent, tables, chairs, and others.
5. The design of the booth depends on the creativity and marketing strategy of each
group. There shall be back drop that includes the name of the business, its logo, and
the price list of the products.
6. There will be an assigned person for each of the following:
a. Manager (Cleanliness and Sanitation): responsible for cleaning materials
b. Manager (Timekeeping): responsible for Daily Time Records (DTRs)
c. Manager (Marketing): responsible for the Marketing Strategies
d. Manager (Business Sales): responsible for the money and daily sales report
e. Team Leader
7. The following special awards will be awarded to the groups that would reach the criteria
for evaluation.
a. Best in Marketing Strategy
b. Best Overall Exhibit
c. People’s Choice Award
8. Criteria for Best in Marketing Strategy:
a. Clear campaign objectives
b. Innovation and Uniqueness
c. Smart execution
9. Criteria for Best Overall Exhibit:
a. Booth design – Quality, originality, and uniqueness
b. Branding – Use of logo and/or brand within the design of the booth; promotion of
product
c. Staffing – Professional appearance, welcoming and friendly demeanor,
approachable and knowledgeable
d. Overall Appeal – Booth cleanliness, attractive layout, ease of access to
information within the booth.
10. Criteria for People’s Choice Award:
a. Sales
b. Students’ Votes
11. The nomination for People’s Choice Award will begin at 9:45am and end at 2:30pm.
12. The sales report will be submitted to the committee not later than 3:00pm.
