Conventional marketing:

Uttarakhand government should do a campaign like “Next heaven Uttarakhand” with popular
personality in film and sports industries as brand ambassadors. This will create a destination
branding for Uttarakhand using the celebrity endorsement. This campaign should broadcast in all
mediums like Tv, radio, newspaper, magazine, billboards etc. This will increase recall value of
Uttarakhand.

TV Ads: Tv ads should be telecasted frequently for instance it can be telecasted during cricket
matches. This will reach to the mass since cricket have been widely viewed by Indians. The Ads
have to be translated in many languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali
so that it will have a greater impact for all people.

Newspaper Ads: Front full page advertainment in the all Newspapers about the positive impacts
of the Uttarakhand. This will create higher recall value of the campaign.

Billboards Ads: Billboards ads have to be located in people crowded areas like railway stations,
bus stands, airports. The Billboard should be viewed easily by the people.

Outdoor advertising should be done in Trains and buses. To spread the scenic beauty of
Uttarakhand posters should be made visible on trains and buses which are covering the tourist
destinations. This will create an tempting factors for the tourists. The ads had to be changing every
three months so that many places of Uttarakhand will be covered.

Roadshows can be made to promote kumbamela festival and tribal dances in Uttarakhand.

Introducing stamps in the name of Uttarakhand tourism.
