Introduction
Welcome to the SAP Business Group at Accenture! This SAP Learning & Collaboration Starter
Kit is developed by the SAP Learning team, which is responsible for fostering collaboration
within our SAP Professional Communities and connecting our people to the learning assets that
will best prepare them to service our clients and unlock their personal potential. Within this kit
you will be introduced to our key learning and collaboration assets and be provided with
guidance on how to make yourself discoverable within our communities. As your network grows
and you develop your SAP skills, you will be increasingly recognized as a key contributor and
enjoy the benefits that come with fostering a rich career experience. We look forward to
enabling your success as you embark on your career journey within our SAP practice!

What is the SAP Business Group (BG) Portal?
The SAP BG Portal site has the latest global content to equip you to sell and deliver SAP.

This centralized access point for SAP-specific content includes client presentations, Accenture
Thought Leadership and alliance information to showcase our SAP practice with your clients. It
also provides training and enablement content to deepen your knowledge and announcements
and communications to keep you current. Additionally, it allows you to actively participate and
engage with members of your SAP community (domain) and leadership by providing contacts
and collaboration tools (customized Streams and links to Circles) to help you connect.

About our Communities
Our SAP Communities align to our SAP business and technical Domain structure. All SAP
people will be aligned to a Domain based on their SAP specialty, which will be their primary
SAP ‘home’ at a regional and global level. Domains will operate as individual, collaborative
Communities.

The objectives of our SAP Domain Communities are to:

• Elevate the global SAP capability and skills to align with the future world of SAP.
• Develop deep skills in SAP (core, new and emerging solutions).
• Drive early adoption of emerging SAP technologies and innovation ahead of the market.
• Create a community of experts who understand SAP supported end-to-end Business
Processes.
• Develop cross-industry SAP solution components to improve end-to-end Business
Processes.
• Support a cross-OG/Platform collaborative Domain Community of Practice.

The Stream
The Stream is a microblogging tool integrating many of Accenture’s collaboration applications –
including People, Blogs, Accenture Communities, Circles, Team Services, Yammer and the
Portal. It displays the latest activity (e.g., microblogs, calendar events, blogs, documents
submitted to the KX) performed by your colleagues or within communities you follow.

The Stream helps you connect with your colleagues by enabling you to ask and answer
questions as well as participate in meaningful discussions using hashtags to route your post to
relevant communities or users. Hashtags for each SAP domain community are listed on their
respective collaboration pages.

Start a conversation by asking questions, sharing relevant links/videos or useful contributions

you have come across on the KX. Join a conversation by commenting on activities in the
communities you follow.

SAP Capability Development

SAP training is the primary means by which Accenture employees build skills, knowledge and
high performance. It takes place through the continuous learning model driven by formal
learning, collaboration and on-the-job experience. This page provides a comprehensive listing of

Collections
Collections are a repository of Internal and External URLs.

As you are starting in Accenture, Collections can be a great place to start and save all important
links. You can tag, filter, share and access them anytime and anywhere. Not only that but
collections are also a great way to discover all the good stuff others have collected.

They are just as easy to use as Learning Boards but far more powerful—social, searchable,
mobile and visual. You can access the domain-related collections via the ‘Training Tab’ on the
respective domain Professional Community KX site.

We have created a collection for you so that you don’t have to save all the links mentioned in
this document. Click here to view and follow the SAP Starter Kit Collection.

To create your collection, click here -> click ‘Start your Collections’ -> Give it a Name and
Description and add Keywords for search and click ‘Create’.

SAP Communications
We have modernized our internal communications approach, moving much of our content out of
email into a personalized channel focused on what matters to YOU. The new Portal Home
increases the relevance of information you get so you can make the most of your time.

Visit the SAP subscription page to manage your subscriptions and control which SAP
domain-specific communications related to your geography area, events and strategic initiatives
you will see on your Portal Home page.

People Profile Completion

Please complete your people profile within your first month of joining Accenture. You should:

• Access your people page at https://people.accenture.com/Experience.aspx.

• Click the ‘Update Profile’ link.
• Click the ‘Edit’ option for each section to update your profile.
• Upload a recent picture.

Updating Your CV/Resume

It is important to maintain and update your skills and project information in MyScheduling.
MyScheduling is the global tool you will use to find and get staffed on projects. This is also the
tool you will use to find resources for projects you need to staff.

If you are new to Accenture, update your relevant skills in the tool. Keep your resume up to date
by updating your CV/Resume at the end of every project you complete. By keeping your skills
on your resume up to date, projects can better identify resources that have the skills/experience
to meet the project’s need. On the MyScheduling site select ‘CV/Resume’ from the top
navigation to update your skills.

Contacts
Know your SAP Leadership team! The SAP Contacts page lists the SAP Leadership key
contacts at the Practice level as well as by Operating Unit, Geography, Domain and Delivery
Center.

Need to reach out to someone within your community? Regional, functional and technical leads
are listed on each Domain page (for links please see the SAP Communities section of this
document).
