Design

“ELMECH” Make Hoist & Cranes Are of Modular Design, Optimized In Size, Lower Weight &
suitable for heavy duty application Ease of Assembly as well as Maintenance & Aesthetic
Appearance. The Cranes are manufactured as per IS 3177/1999 & IS 807/1976.

Bridge/Beam
The girders of the crane are of box type construction for more tensional rigidity, low head
room and aesthetically pleasing appearance. The Box girder is designed to give maximum
strength to weight ratio with no excess self weight. Maximum deflections of the bridge
girder will be limited to 1/900th of the span with loaded trolley located in central position

Wheel Assembly
Long travel & cross travel wheels are straight threaded & Single / Double flanged EN8/ EN9
Heat Treated. Wheels are supported on heavy duty double spherical roller bearings &
special Corner Bearing Endcarriage type design for easy maintenance.

Gear Box
Gear Boxes have M.S. fabricated casing. The teeth of the gear & pinion shafts are cut on
imported Hobbing machine with standard hob full dep. 20 degree pressure angle with
Profile correction to avoid undercut.

Brake
Brakes designed are of Electro-Hydraulic / Electro Magnetic Disc / thruster brakes. In
traveling motions electro magnetic fail-to-safe shoe / disc type brakes are mounted directly
on motors.
Coupling
The couplings are Gear Type to compensate for slight misalignment without imparting
additional stress on stationery members, bearings & pedestals thus maintenance work is
considerably reduced.

Rope Drum / Wire Rope

The Rope Drum is Steel Fabricated / Seamless Pipe. Hoisting Rope is of "USHÁ MARTIN"
Make flexible type of best ploughs steel 6X36 constructions.
Controls
Pendant control from the Floor, Master Control Switches & Master Controllers In The
Drivers Cabin can be provided. Radio Remote Control can also be provided on request.
Control Panel Consist Of Heavy Duty Air Break Contactors, Transformer, Etc. Housed In Dust
Proof Sheet Metal Cabinet.
Limit Switch
To prevent over hoisting & over lowering of hook & for Both CT & LT Motion limit switches
shall be provided.
