 Assist Manager,QA and Sr.Coatings Inspector in managing the Offshore Inspection activities
 Supervise, train and direct coating supervisor
 Review requirements of job and develop plans for implementation
 Analyse,revise and make recommendations for improvements to the coating process
 Understand and abide by the procedures set by procedure manuals, the ITP and Project specification
 Verify the proper use of calibration of inspection instruments as described in the inspection quality manual
 Perform Hold point inspection of surface preparation and coating work in accordance with the procedures
of the inspection quality manual
 Review the project specification and attend pre-job meetings and conferences pertaining to the
specification
 Initiate changes to the inspection quality manual via notification to the coating inspector 3 Or the district
coatings manager
 Initiate evaluation of non conforming items and report them accordingly
 Liaise with QC/NDT/Certification/Welding Engineering and customer to ensure quality problems are
addressed and technically resolved
 Appraise product quality in accordance with the inspection Project quality plan,ITP and Determine
conformity and non-conformity
 All inspection results need to be documented and if non conformity exist.documentaion should be raised to
establish corrective action including root cause analysis
 Provide interpretation of applicable codes specification and customer requirements. Any deviation,
clarification and waivers are documented.
 Coordinate interface with operations,CA,Client and sub contractor assuring conformity to specification
 Exercise proactive approach in prevention of problems by interfacing with production engineers and
management personnel
 Quality Assurance
 Control/Corrective/Preventive actions to OQA/NCRs.
 Preparation/review/approval of QCP/ITP/MS/WPS
 Quality Control
 Stage wise inspection for compliance with QCP
 Material Inspections
 Verify the climatic conditions
 Inspection and verification of Calibration of equipment and instruments
 Inspection of Surface preparation
 Verify the painting system and application
 Final inspection on color code and identification marking
 To Read & Study the Specification.
 Conversant with
 NACE, SSPC, ASTM, ISO
 ASME B31.3, ASME BPVC
