First at all, give thanks for God’s love and Grace for us. Thanks to God for helping us
and give u chance to finish this Assigment timely. And we would like to say thank you
to Mr. Taufiq as the lecture.

This Assigment “Analycital Exposition” is the one of English task that composed of
group 5. We realized this Assigment “Analycital Exposition” is not perfect. But we
hope it can be useful. Critics and Suggestion is needed here to make this Assigment
“Analycital Exposition” be better.

Hopefully we as student in XI Science 3 Al-Kautsar.

Analytical Exposition

Analytical Exposition is kind of text we often meet in daily, although not everyone
knows that the text we read is Analytical Exposition. Analayitical exposition text is a
kind of text that contain some opinions about something. It can be material, place, or
phenomenon.

A. Definition of Analytical Exposition

“Analytical” has a meaning “examining or liking to examine things very
carefully” (Cambridge). The meaning of "Exposition" is “a comprehensive description".
Therefore, definition of Analytical Exposition is a text that giving explanation
comprehensively about something with giving supported opinion.

B. The Purpose of Analytical exposition

The purpose of analytical exposition is "to attempt to persuade the reader to
believe something by presenting one side of the argument." or ensure the reader to
believe in something with giving some one-side-opinion.

C. Generic Structure of Analytical exposition

The strucutre of analytical exposition divided into 3 parts. There are :

a. Thesis
In thesis, writer introduces the topic or the main idea that will be
discussed. Thesis always in first pharagraph in analytical exposition text.
b. Argument
In this part, writer propound arguments or opinions that supported the
main idea. More arguments will ensure the readers that the topic is
correct.
c. Reiteration
This part is the closing of the analytical text. Reiteration contain re-write
the main idea of the text. Reiteration can be written as conclusion.
D. Characteristic
In analytical exposition, there are some characteristics, there are :
a. Using simple present
b. Using Causal conjunction (because of)

E. Example

Cars Should Be Banned

(Thesis)
Cars should be banned in the city. As we all know, cars create pollution, and cause a lot
of road deaths and other accidents.

(Argument 1)
Firstly, cars, as we all know, give contribution to the most of the pollution in the world.
Cars emit deadly gas that causes illness such as bronchitis, lung cancer, and ‘triggers’
off asthma. Some of these illnesses are so bad that people can die from them.

(Argument 2)
Secondly, the city is very busy. Pedestrians wander everywhere and cars commonly hit
pedestrains in the city, which causes them to die. Cars today are our roads biggest
killers.

(Argument 3)
Thirdly, cars are very noisy. If you live in the city, you may find it hard to sleep at
night, or to concentrate on your homework, and especially when you talk to someone.

(Reiteration)
In conclusion, cars should be benned from the city for the reason listed.
 CLOSING

So that we can describe the subject matter became the subject of this paper, of course,
there are still many shortcoming and weakness, because they limited knowledge and
lack of raferral or reference that has to do with the tittle of this paper.

Writer much hope dear reader dusy give contructive critism and suggestiond to the
author of this papper and for the sake of perfect and writting pappers in the next
opportunities. Hopefully this papper is useful for writers in particular also dear readers
in general.
