Information Law.

I would like copies of any available records sent to my attention via email (electronic documents).

I hereby request the following records:

1. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 21, 2019 - Any studies, plans, working memos, or other
written (electronic or physical form) reports related to the just announced prison closures in NY ,
including, but not limited to, the closure of Livingston Correctional Facility in Groveland , Livingston
County, New York. To also include any supporting documents that lent guidance to the prisons that
were selected for closure.
2. Copy of the notice sent to the temporary president of the Senate and the Speaker of the Assembly per
the requirements of prison closure as laid out in the FY 2020 Enacted NYS Budget authorization
3. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 21, 2019 - Copies of any correspondence/communication
sent to any staff at Livingston Correctional Facilities notifying them of the impending closure or related
in any way to the impending closure.
4. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 21, 2019 - Copies of any correspondence/communication
sent to any other NYS agency related to the impending closure of Livingston Correction Facility .
5. The most recent budget and/or financial report of the Livingston Correctional facility , to include a
breakdown of both personnel (salaries/staff expenses) and any building related expenses.
6. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 21, 2019 - Copies of any documents that address the
closure itself, i.e. a transition plan, how the facility will close , the timelines involved and what levels of
staff and inmate populations will be impacted at specific junctures .
7. Money spent at the facility on water, sewer, electric, facility, capital plant or other upgrades over the
last 5 years.
8. Number of inmates at the facility as of May 1, 2019 and the plans (documents related to) for their
transition to other facilities in NYS and where specifically these inmates will be going to in NYS .
9. Full List of medium security prisons in the NYS prison system with corresponding May of 2019
population information (total capacity AND total occupied beds as of 05/01/19).
10. List of prisons that the impacted staff will be reassigned /transferred to.
11. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 21, 2019 - Any written correspondence/communications,
email or physical form, sent from the Department of Corrections staff to the NYS Department of Labor
related to the impending prison closure, to include but not be limited to the impacts to staff and
transition plans.
12. If public information, the Zip codes of the home residence location of present Livingston Correctional
staff as of May 1, 2019.
13. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 17, 2019 - Copies of any correspondence sent to any
federal, state or local official prior to May 17th related specifically to the closure of any NYS prison .
14. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 17, 2019 - Copies of any correspondence sent to any
federal, state or local official prior to May 17th related to specifically to the closure of the Livingston
Correctional Facility.
15. From the dates May 1, 2016 through May 21, 2019 - Copies of any correspondence and documents
that address the future use of the facility now known as Livingston Correctional Facility , the timelines
involved and what levels of staff will be needed .

If all/any of the requested records cannot be emailed to me, please inform me by email of the portions
that can be emailed and advise me of the cost for reproducing the remainder of the records requested
($0.25 per page or actual cost of reproduction).

If the requested records cannot be emailed to me due to the volume of records identified in response
to my request, please advise me of the actual cost of copying all records onto a CD .

If my request is too broad or does not reasonably describe the records , please contact me via email
so that I may clarify my request, and when appropriate inform me of the manner in which records are
filed, retrieved or generated.

If it is necessary to modify my request, and an email response is not preferred, please contact me at

If for any reason any portion of my request is denied, please inform me of the reasons for the denial in
writing and provide the name, address and email address of the person or body to whom an appeal
