 Before mounting the water intake and high-pressure hose, both of them (and especially their
couplings) must be cleaned of any dirt.

 Clean the high-pressure lance and the high-pressure gun (particularly their connections)
before mounting.

Certain maintenance and inspection tasks are required at specified time intervals to protect
parts of the high-pressure water jetting device that are especially subject to stress from wear.
When performing these tasks, the following safety instructions must be observed:

All maintenance work must only be carried out when the motor is
switched off and the hoses are de-pressurised. The high-pressure water
jetting device must be disconnected from the power supply, before any
care or maintenance work is carried out.

 In principle, any work on the high-pressure water jetting device must be carried out when the
unit is at a standstill. It is absolutely essential to follow the procedures described in the
operating instructions for bringing the high-pressure water jetting device to a standstill.

 The operator must ensure that any maintenance on the high-pressure water jetting device is
carried out in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and the instructions
in this operating manual.
Maintenance, conversion or retrofitting work, which requires specialist skills, may only be
carried out by F-instructed personnel.

 Immediately after completing the tasks, all safety and protective devices must be put back in
place or placed in operation.

According to regulations for devices emitting liquids, you are required to

have your high-pressure water jetting device inspected by an expert
every 12 months to ensure that it is working safely. You must keep the
written results of the inspection!

 Unauthorised modifications and spare parts procurement:

Converting or making changes to the high-pressure water jetting device is only permitted with
the manufacturer’s approval. Original replacement parts and accessories authorised by the
manufacturer help to ensure safety. The use of any other parts may exclude liability for any
consequences resulting therefrom.

Maintenance intervals

F high-pressure water jetting devices are designed for long and problem-free operation. To
ensure this, a minimum of maintenance and inspection work is required at regular intervals.

The following work must be carried out daily:

 Check the oil level in the pump.
 Check the high-pressure connection for leak tightness.
 Check the pump for leaks.
 Clean the sieve on the water inlet.

In addition, the following maintenance cycles must be maintained:

 First oil change on the pump after 50 operating hours, all additional oil changes after 250
operating hours, or at least once every 6 months
 Annual check in accordance with the guidelines covering fluid jetting units (by F
customer service or by other authorised locations).

as 750w:
 Monthly check of toothed belt tightness, retensioning if required.

Oil Change High-Pressure Pump

Let your high-pressure water jetting device warm up before you change the pump oil. Switch the
high-pressure water jetting device off as described in the operating manual, once the pump oil
is warm.
Proceed as follows to change the oil in the high-pressure pump:

Changing the pump oil

b 1. Place a suitable container under the oil drain

opening (a).

2. Unscrew the oil drain opening (a).

3. Let the old oil drain completely and dispose of

it according to
statutory requirements.

4. Reinsert and tighten the oil drain opening (a)

with seal.
5. Unscrew the high-pressure pump oil opening
(b).

6. Fill with new oil up to the "Max" mark on the oil

c dipstick or up to the middle of the oil level
a indicator (c).
For type and quantity of oil, refer to chapter
"Technical data".

Setting the toothed belt tension 750w

The power from the motor to the high-pressure water jetting device is transferred via a toothed-
belt drive. High strain will cause the toothed belt to stretch during operation. That is why you
should regularly retighten the tooth belt. The following is a short description of the procedure.

Setting tooth belt tension

1. Decommission the high-pressure device
Example: motor fixing bolts according to the instructions.

2. Loosen the fastening screws on the

belt guard (a) and remove the belt guard.

3. Loosen the four hexagon screws (b), which fix

the
motor to the base plate.

4. With the help of the horizontal setting screws

(c), move the motor as needed until there is
sufficient tension.

Example: Toothed belt tension 5. Measurement "A" must amount to approx.

5 mm of play at the centre
.
Make absolutely certain that both of the belt
pulleys are perfectly parallel.
This prevents premature wear of the belt.

6. Tighten the hexagon screws (4)

and re-connect the motor to the base plate.

7. Re-attach the belt guard with the fastening

screws
.

The toothed belt is now adjusted.
