Presentation Reflection

The whole process of presenting a project towards a general audience is a tough task to

do. To me I think that the hardest part about presenting was being able to deliver a message that

can be difficult to understand and has been controversial over times to a general audience with

varieties of opinions and points of view. The building up to the presentation was a whole process

to me, it involved a lot of brainstorming and obtaining the most fundamental key points and

summaries of the whole research. I feel like personally it was a challenge to be able to get what I

felt was more important and necessary to share because this project to me was very important so

that I could be able to share valuable information towards my audience. Making presentations

can be difficult at times but keeping an audience interested and drawing their attention towards

the topic to get them engaged is the most difficult part, for me I think that I sort of knew what

message I wanted to deliver but I was unsure of how to do it. Overall I think that my presentation

was well delivered because I felt that my audience was very engaged. Military recruitment of

adolescents is a very difficult topic to deliver nowadays because students are growing up in an

environment where college seems like their only option when given the opportunity, other may

just go directly to the work field without getting any further education. This topic is important to

be discussed and my audience was engaged when hearing all the actual facts about the military

and I feel like this was accomplished by the effective message delivery and the presentation I had

ready for my audience. When I say I felt that it was effective, I mean that I have good
presentation skills and the presentation was made to be able to be understood for audiences of

various ages and groups to be able to interpret. I am a very outgoing person and I enjoy helping

other out and what better way than to give a presentation about other possible options that can

definitely help them further extend their opportunities and experience. I am also skilled and great

at talking to groups of people so I felt comfortable in the environment I was in and I knew my

knowledge and research very wel that I had a confidence that allowed me to effectively cause an

impact on my audience. My presentation consists of the following: Key concepts, important

things to know, my thesis statement and all the options available for applicants interested in the

military. It is made so that it is easy to navigate and understand and made physically appealing to

the audience so that they don’t feel too overwhelmed with the loads of information and they get a

good insight of the armed forces in general. Overall This topic covers a wide range of

information but it is important to highlight those key concepts and highly valuable information

for the public in order for the presentation and the information to be able to be carried out

effectively and accomplishing the goal of this project.
