1. How the teacher’s role and the teaching profession affects the quality of education?
Teacher and teaching profession have major role in affecting the quality of education.
The quality and characteristics of a teacher will tell what result of learning will she
produce. To give the quality education teacher must be effective and efficient in educating
learners. She is the most important factor in contributing learners’ achievement. How she
treats learners affect the learners’ attitude. How she teaches lesson affects learners’
learning. The way on how she encourages her learners will make difference in live of her
learners. Therefore, the kind/characteristics/attributes/quality of a teacher affects the
quality of education. It is for these reasons so that the state is ensuring the quality of
teachers. The department of education does not stop training/mentoring and providing
continues program for teachers as well the schools’ administrator to really ensure the
favorable quality of education.
2. How the governance of Philippine Education System influenced by the current issues
and trends in education globally?
The current issues and trends in education globally is one of the reasons on why our
government put a great effort educational system reform. In order to address these current
issues and trends our educational system have made some revision in the curriculum and

As a teacher and future leader, I need to responds positively to the challenges of the new
era of globalization, information technology and new economy. This means I have to
become flexible enough to adapt these global trends. It is my great responsibility to
upgrade my knowledges and skills in teaching that are align to global standard. And more
importantly I must be equipped with 21st century skills.
Actually, the fact that I am taking my masters degree now is a part of my respond to these

7. As a classroom teacher what are the current trends in education you should embrace to
develop professionally?
As a classroom teacher I embrace the educational technology because it is more than just
fun in learning but a big help to both teachers and learners in enhancing learning.
Technology like laptop and mobile phone helps me in may ways. When I need to show a
big picture in my class or need to give my class a fun and interactive learning I just have
to create a powerpoint presentation or browse/download for some video clip to give
them more interesting lesson. When I confronted with the topic I have to present in my
class and it seems to be not familiar to me I can easily search/browse for it in the
internet to clarify ideas and gives more information about it.
In my professional development technology has also made learning easy and accessible
almost anywhere and anytime. When I need to submit a report for my graduate course or
in my work it is now very convenient to accomplish it. I don’t have to compute a very
complex computation manually. The technology can automate my work that is why
giving me an easy, convenient and quick experience right at my fingertips.
8. State some issues confronting the Philippine Educational System at present and how it
affects the teaching-learning process.
There are some issues confronting the Philippine Educational System at present due to
global trends. The global standard became more and more too far from our educational
standard. And this gives more challenges to our educational system because we need to go
along with it and we need to provide ours be a globally competitive. In order to make this
possible our educational system target this goal-the global standard. Therefore, as an
answer to the demand globally we have now the k-12 program which brought many issues
and challenges to us in the implementation. Due to this implementation our educational
system is confronting with some issues such as lack of building/classroom, school
facilities, books and the numbers of additional teachers are still existing.
These issues in our educational system affects the teaching-learning process in a positive
or negative way depending on how the teachers or school administrators cope up with
these issues. For example, the use of technology in the teaching learning-learning process
can be a big help or disastrous depending on how the teacher utilize or integrate it in the
learning. It is in the hands of educators how these issues take place.
Instruction and learning process is an important matter that need to design carefully
