CHALLENGE
To provide a BIG DATA solution that allows high volume, velocity and variety of
multi-media content streamed from IP cameras located across a city, extract
vehicle number plates and geo tag information to provide location based search
services

SOLUTION
The project was intended to showcase the security system use case that
leverages the disruptive technology of Cloud and Bigdata analytics wherein, the
high end video analytics based solutions are identified for security systems and to
acquire, manage and analyze the large volume of multi-media content and
process for business case

 THE SOLUTIONS
 To be able to process high volume of multimedia content in a real quick time
to be able to acquire, extract and analyze the media content
 Mindteck built Hadoop cluster infrastructure on Amazon public cloud, and
used open source OCR API to extract the number plate details from the image
and built a Google Map API based location based services
 The critical contribution was, conception of the idea, design, architecture,
development and tool selection by Mindteck team
 Processed 200 GB ‘ per minute’ size of data with 5 Hadoop Node Cluster that
is scalable per the multi-media content input
 Provides the closer to the real-time analysis

based solution that can be integrated part of the security systems for both
domestic and industrial purposes to process various forms of multi-media
content and be able to offer value based security solutions
