AP Calculus BC Final Project - Cooking with Calculus


ORIGINAL RECIPE - STRAWBERRY CREPE CAKE

Ingredients
● 4 eggs
● 50 grams of sugar
● 1 gram of salt
● 200 of grams of cake flour
● 80 teaspoons of milk
● 100 grams of almond milk
● 70 grams of melted unsalted butter
● 32 strawberries
● 350 grams of whipping cream
● 35 grams of sugar

Recipe
1. Whisk 4 eggs, 1 gram of salt, and 50 grams of sugar in a bowl until thoroughly mixed
2. Sift into the mixture the 200 grams of cake flour
3. Pour the 100 grams of almond milk into the mixture
4. Whisk the mixture of almond milk, cake flour, eggs, salt, and sugar until smooth
5. Add the 400 grams of regular milk and whisk until smooth
6. Melt the 70 grams of unsalted butter
7. Add in the melted butter and whisk
8. Strain the mixture into another container and let sit to room temperature for 30 minutes.
Put cling wrap on the strained mixture
9. Set small pan to low heat and add very little olive oil to the pan. Make sure the olive oil is
thoroughly spread over pan
10. Take a little less than half a cup of the crepe mixture and spread it thinly and evenly on
the oiled pan
11. Turn crepe over when slightly solid
12. Repeat this process till all the crepe mixture is used up
13. Put 350 grams of whipping cream and 35 grams of sugar into a chilled bowl and whip
with beaters until thick
14. Stack crepes with layers of whipping cream and sliced strawberries
15. Decorate with whole strawberry
16. Harden in fridge and enjoy!
