Directions: Please review the questions below. These questions are meant to help you focus on
exactly WHAT you will do with your 15 hours. It is your choice whether you fill out the 15 hour plan
first or answer the questions first. Just make sure this is completed.

Mental Health and Suicide Statistics in Teens

2. What was your topic about? What was your position (belief) about the topic. Give pertinent
details. Explain #2 in a paragraph or less. If you have changed your topic, explain it here.

My topic was on how much teen suicide and diagnosed mental health cases have increased in the
past years and finding ways to combat things such as depression, anxiety and suicide by going to the
source and teaching children and teens about their emotions in places like school

3. Explain the overall goal of your efforts by answering these questions:


a. Describe the community/ies you will focus on.

The main community i focus on is student and children mainly everyone that needs
knowledge of mental health

b. Where will you go to find these people?

In my personal experience i found these people in my own household as well as while


talking to other students at Garinger

Around the garinger to find who is dealing with mental health issue and have no
support system

c. Explain HOW the community will benefit from your SLE.

It will benefit by helping teens come to school instead of dealing with mental health
alone
d. At the end of your hours, how will YOU know you helped this community? How will
you measure this? 2-3 sentences.

I know that i helped the community because even after i graduate teens will be able
to get the help that previous students never had the chance to have. Also classes will
not be only in garinger but it will affect all CMS students.
