COURSE DESCRIPTION

Top Notch 2 is the first part of the course for pre-intermediate students; which includes a preview content
of the unit, which activates the prior knowledge to gets students think and talk about the topics they will
learn. This strategy allows students to integrate grammar they have learned on Fundamentals and Level
1, vocabulary, pronunciation, and social language.

PRIOR KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

 Use of the Simple Past tense.


 Past and Past Participle of Irregular Verbs.
 Understand the use of prepositions of time and use of time expressions.
 Use of Modal Verbs.
 Understand the use of be going to.
 Use of direct objects, nouns, and pronouns.
 Distinguish between count and non-count nouns.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

 Know the structure and meaning of Yes/No Questions.


 Correct use of the auxiliary verbs in all the tenses.
 Spelling of the present continuous.
 Understand all verbs tenses that students have seen so far.
 Sentence structure and parts of speech.
 Past participle form of irregular verbs.
 Verb Be forms in simple present tense.
 Use and form of comparative and superlative adjectives.
 Understand the use and form of simple present tense, the future tense forms and modal verbs.
