2 ABSTRACT

This research will examine the condition of Muslim Ummah past, means at the time of Hazrat Muhammad

(SAW) and now in the present time. At the time of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) Muslims were an unbeatable

force. They were united and are the rulers of the world. After the death of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) the

Muslim Caliphs of Islam Led the Muslims according to the rules of Islam and united them at a single

platform. In this study strength of Muslim Ummah will be discussed that how Muslims were ruling the

world in the past. No doubt, Islam is a powerful religion no other religion can compete with Islam. But

there are some weaknesses in the Muslim Ummah. These weaknesses are due to the irresponsibility of

Muslim themselves. Muslim are lagging behind in every field due to their own negligence. They are

disunited. Lack of knowledge is a main cause of their weakness.

But these weaknesses can be handled by applying Islamic rules. In short, this article will try to explain the

strength of Muslim Ummah, weaknesses of Muslim Ummah. It will also include the suggestions of how

we can get the dignity of Muslim Ummah again to reach a level of progressive development so that other

people may follow us.

3 Introduction
3.1 Meaning of word Ummah

Ummah is a word which has the meaning of nation or a community. It is an Arabic word. If we talk about

the meaning of Ummah from the perspective of Islam, it means the “Muslim Community” or “Community

of Believers”. In noble Quran Muslim Ummah is refer to as one Community, means the whole Islamic

World.

3.2 Concept of Ummah (History)

In the era of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) before the concept of Ummah, The people of Arabia were usually

governed by means of relationship. In simple words, the political thought of people of Arabia positioned

around tribal relationship and blood relationships. In the middle of tribal civilization the concept of Islam

emerged and the concept of Ummah was also emerged along with the concept of Islam. An Ummah is

came into being by the suggestion of a prophet or a messenger that has been suggested to a public. But

in case of Muslim Ummah the Holy Prophet (PBUH) wanted to make a universal Ummah because, He was

sent as a messenger of whole World. Other Messengers were sent as the messenger of a particular

community.

3.3 Unity in Muslim Ummah

In the Quran Allah openly says that for Muslim Ummah unity is very essential. Allah says that we should

not be divided and we should follow the teachings of Islam strictly and the life of Hazrat Muhammad

(SAW). Unity is a great strength. Muslims had achieved much success in the past because they was united.

In Islam the Muslim Of whole world are regarded as a single Ummah. Unity and faith both are the base of

Muslim Ummah.
4 STRENGTHS OF MUSLIM UMMAH

These are some strength of Islam.

4.1 Faith Strength

Faith gives us light through which we can see what needs to be done and how. We provide internal

strength to avoid patience and sacrifice. It enables us to use energy efficiently and thus more efficiently.

At the top, it brings God's help and the power of any power

The holy Quran says:

And [the Prophet HUD said], O my people! Seek forgiveness of your Lord and then turn to him in

repentance; he will send down on you rain in abundance and add strength (quwwah) to your strength

(quwwah). Do not turn away as sinners (11:52).

Thus turning to God in repentance, seeking his forgiveness brings prosperity and an increase in strength

or quwwah. This principle is stated in the words of the earlier Prophet HUD (AS) but the following verses

address directly the faithful and steadfast followers of the Prophet Muhammad (whom God blesses,

glorifies and loves):

If there be of you twenty steadfast they shall overcome two hundred, and if there be of you hundred

steadfast they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, for they (the disbelievers) are a

people who do not understand (8:65).

Now has God lightened your burden, for He knows that there is weakness in you? So if there be of you

a steadfast hundred they shall overcome two hundred, and if there be of you a thousand, they shall

overcome two thousand by the permission of God. And God is with the steadfast (8:66).
Thus faith can increase the effective power of a people by two to ten times depending on the strength

of the faith.

Faith gives us some moral and spiritual power that can sometimes be attacked without the use of

physical force. Thus, the Mongols won the military victory - one of the two groups who attacked

previous and destroyed Muslim lands, but it was captured by the power of moral and spiritual

supremacy in Islam itself. The second group - was physically defeated, but also faced a moral and

spiritual power compared to Muslims. When crusade matters temporarily controlled some Muslim land,

they destroyed terrible death and destruction. But when Salad Uddin defeated the crusaders, he did not

do it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was not changed: Clearly, hatred in Islam

and Christ's heart was more than that of the process of love and tolerance However, since there were

many Europeans who developed a better view of Islam and Muslims.

The first thing of faith or belief is that we must learn in our religion because it works as our roots. Faith is

essentially to believe in God, His angels, His books, His apostles, and all its books which he has already

sent.

4.2 Six pillars of faith

These are the six pillars of faith

4.2.1 Belief in Allah

Of course the first and the most important pillar of faith is belief in one God. God is not just faith only,

but by the Quran and by the Prophet, by the statement. It includes all 99 names of God Almighty

4.2.2 Belief in angels

The second pillar of faith believes in God's angels. Is angel God's Messenger. They are not sure as their

children are. They are not humans. They are created from light. Some of the names of the angels we
know, Gabriel, Michael, Israel and the Lord. They have many jobs, such as guardian, gate guard, and

Horn.

4.2.3 Belief in his messengers

Allah sent prophets and messengers to preach the same topic: to believe in one God, guiding their

nations to Islam. All messengers were created as human beings.

25 prophets were mentioned in the Quran and they are: Adam, Idris (Enoch), Nuh (Noah), Hud (Heber),

Salih (Methusaleh), Lut (Lot), Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael) ,Ishaq (Isaac), Yaqub (Jacob), Yusuf

(Joseph), Shu’aib (Jethro), Ayyub (Jacob), Dhulkifl (Ezekiel), Musa (Moses), Harun (Aaron), Dawud

(David), Sulayman (Solomon), Ilias (Elias), Alyasa (Elisha), Yunus (Jonah), Zakariya (Zachariah), Yahya

(John the Baptist), Isa (Jesus), Muhammad (SAW).

Most of the messengers of Allah were sent to a specific nation except Prophet Muhammad, who was

sent to guide all of mankind. It is a duty of Muslims to send salaams (Peace and Blessings of Allah) when

mentioning the names of any of the Prophets.

4.2.4 Belief in his books

The fourth pillar of faith is in the books of God. It's here when they were sent to the books, they were

definitely those. A message from God. The rest of the book is completely of the Quran, because it is

what is the last revelation that God will send us? There are four books in the name of man: The Torah

was revealed on Prophet Moses. Zabur was revealed on Prophet David. The Gospel was sent with the

Prophet (Jesus) and the Qur'an Sent with Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). We believe in all these books are

not just the Quran.

4.2.5 Belief in last day

Fifth pillar of faith is belief in last day. This is a day Report all actions; bad or good, big or small. In our

lives, we must I believe that everything we do will be concentrated on the last day. Only Allah knows

when that day comes, we live like us every day at last.

4.2.6 Belief in Al- Qadar (Pre-Ordainment)

Eeman’s last pillar is the belief in pre-order. What does it mean? Everything in our lives has been

written. We have a responsibility to understand this Whatever God will do. In addition, he is the creator

of everything, including our actions. Allah knows our past, present and future. Our life is clear, but this

does not mean that we work harder to achieve perfection.

These are the six pillars of faith, which give strength to Muslims. Muslims strong belief tells them what

to do and how, which is very important for charter building. Strong faith gives strength to Muslim

Ummah.

5 Knowledge and understanding

Quran says that believers can be able to control the power of more than ten forces, because of course

"those who do not understand." This means that due to error, there is a weakness due to error

understanding the power. Of course, the Quran repeatedly states that those who reflect, understand or

know or understand their thoughts, understand or have knowledge.

5.1 Immediate Learning

Immediate learning begins immediately after birth. It is true that with the encouragement and

enthusiasm of researchers, we have to discover the difficulties of difficulties with the passionate spirit of

emotional scientists. At the end of every successful investigation, one can see a small face that enjoys

pure and pure heart. Depending on the process of physical development, when a boy or girl reaches

puberty, it is with a group of salvation and the boy changes the change and change in the sound of

mosquito and patients. After puberty it is impossible to increase height in both boys and girls. Learning

is a natural pleasure. This joke is very emotional. Learning is one of the main pleasures of learning

human race. Without learning, survival becomes a threat. This understanding is generally considered

and includes knowledge about science and technology and what is going on around us around the

world, and knowledge about moral and spiritual facts. It may be clear to us, but in the past many

scientists have not even appeared.

In four decades, the aim of civilization was based on the strength of Muslims in learning the rise of

culture. It is clear that the Qur'an is a tradition of creator and prophet, who is willing to use education,

inspection and logic.

5.2 Scientific Work

For more than 1000 years, the Islamic Empire is the most famous of the world. The main reason for this

was that emphasizing the importance of learning Islam, prohibited destruction, tolerance, discipline for

power, and other religions. The teachings of the Quran and Sunnah inspired many Muslims to achieve

their success in science and medicine. The result of their enthusiasm and enthusiasm for education

during the tenth century was in all scientific works and important Greek. Greek translated into Arabic in

Damenkos, Cairo and Baghdad. Arabic has become the international language of education and

diplomacy. The center of scientific knowledge and activity in the East has changed, and Baghdad has
emerged as the capital of the scientific world. Muslims have created scientific innovations with

authenticity and productivity.

For example, Islamic medicine is one of the most famous and famous statements of Islamic civilization in

which Muslims motivated. Muslims were great torch of international scientific research. Some of the

best and most valuable scientists were Muslim scholars who considered their actions to be worshiped.

The same goals set the first university in the world of Al Azhar (800 meters). He hit the "Knowledge Ball"

on Europe's fence. "The European Medical System is Arab, not only the origin but its structure." Arabs

are European scholars.

5.3 Holy prophet (PBUH) views for seeking knowledge

Search for knowledge "even though it is in China".

"Getting knowledge is essential for every Muslim, whether male or female".

"The ink of the scholar is more sacred than the blood of the martyr".

“Seek knowledge form the cradle to grave”.

“The best form of worship is the purist of knowledge”.

“God has revealed to me, whoever walks in the pursuit of knowledge I faceplate for him the way to

heaven”.

5.4 Muslims Scientists

5.4.1 ABU BAKAR AL-RAZI (865-925)

Also known as Rhazes. Persian alchemist and philosopher, who was one of the greatest physicians in

history.
5.4.2 JABIR BIN HAIYAN (722-804)

and metallurgy

5.4.3 IBN ISHAQ AL-KINDI (801 – 873)

the principles of optics and the use of scientific experiments. IBN ZUHR (1091 – 1161) also known as

Avenzoar. Arab physician and surgeon, known for his influential book Al-Taisir Fil-Mudawat Wal-Tadbeer

history. Often considered as one of the forerunners of modern historiography, sociology and economics.

5.4.6 IBN AL-BAITAR (1197 – 1248)

Arab scientist, botanist and physician who systematically recorded the discoveries made by Islamic

physicians in the middle ages.

5.4.7 IBN-SINA (980-1037)

Also known as Avicenna. Persian philosopher and scientist known for his contributions to Aristotelian

philosophy and medicine

These were Muslims scientists, who have good knowledge, and they give strength to Muslim Ummah.
6 Organization

An effective organization plays an important role in building and in maintaining a strong nation. After

faith, a strong organization is the most urgent need of Muslims in our time.

Efficiency of organization can be achieved within the four broad principles given by the Qur'an:

1- Participation of the people involved, through a consultation process suitable for the

type of task an organization is engaged in (Qur'an 42:38).

2- Avoiding waste of every type of resource (Qur'an 7:31, 17:26-27, 25:67 etc.).

3- Acceptance of the authority of those who are given some responsibility when the authority is

acquired by a due process and is exercised to carry out the task assigned (Qur'an 4:59).

4- Accountability of all people involved, no matter what is their position, with convenient

procedures for relieving persons from their responsibilities in case of incompetence, misuse of

authority, and serious violation of rules (4:135, 5:8, 9:71 etc.).

In non-Muslim countries, our communities are fragmented in organizations that are far from reaching

their full potential. In fact, some or all of the Qur’an principles mentioned above have been ignored. To

strengthen them, the solution is not to replace these different organizations with a large organization,

but each existing or pregnant organization applies the above principles and thrives, and these

prosperous organizations come together at the same time. In the umbrella organization. Work together

and participate in greater efforts. In other words, at this stage, it is perfectly or even desirable to form a
small team that focuses on limited tasks and targets the highest goals. September 11 proves that people

working together with strong and sustained commitments can shake the foundations of the world.

Similarly, sustained efforts can have a major impact on other sectors: building our economy, our armed

forces, our education and research, our knowledge and artistic activities, helping those in need and even

strengthening our unity.

7 Da‘wah

Da’wah is an Arabic word which has the literal meaning of "issuing a summons," or "making an

invitation." This term is often used to describe how Muslims teach others about the beliefs and

practices of their Islamic faith.

In Islam, people believe that everyone's destiny is in the hands of God. The responsibility or right of

individual Muslims is not an attempt to “transform” others into faith. The purpose of Da’Wah is simply

to share information and invite others to better understand the beliefs. Of course, the audience must

choose themselves.

In modern Islamic theology, Da’Wah is used to invite everyone, Muslims and non-Muslims, to

understand how the Qur'an describes the worship of God and practices in Islam.

7.1 Da’wah as a standing exercise

Some Muslims actively learn and participate in Da’Wah as a standing exercise, while others choose not

to talk about their beliefs publicly unless someone asks them. Few Muslims can rush to argue for

religious reasons to persuade others to believe in his "truth." However, this is a fairly rare event. Most

non-Muslims find that although Muslims are willing to share their beliefs with anyone interested, they

do not force this problem. Muslims can also interact with other Muslims in Da’wah, provide advice,

make the right choices and lead Islamic life.

The practice of Da’Wah varies by region and group. For example, some radical branches of Islam believe

that Da’Wah is a way of persuading or forcing other Muslims to return to what they consider to be more

pure and conservative forms of religion.

7.2 Political Practice

In some established Islamic countries, Da’wah is inherent in political practice and is the foundation of

the state's promotion of social, economic and cultural activities. It is even possible to consider arriving in

the way of making a foreign policy decision.

7.3 Active Missionary Activity

Although some Muslims do regard Da’Wah as an active missionary activity aimed at explaining the

benefits of the Islamic faith to non-Muslims, most modern movements regard Da’Wah as a universal

invitation within the faith, rather than a practice aimed at conversion of non-Muslims. Among like-

minded Muslims, Da’Wah serves as a good-natured and healthy discussion over how to interpret the

Quran and how to best practice the faith.

When practicing with non-Muslims, Da’Wah usually involves explaining the meaning of the Qur'an and

showing how Islam serves believers. The powerful efforts to persuade and convert to unbelievers are

rare and invisible.

This can increase our strength by:

a) Providing an opportunity to interact with non-Muslims and hence to better understand and deal

with them;

b) Increasing our own understanding of Islam and thus make us better Muslims;
c) Increasing our numbers in non-Muslim countries, although this should not be our primary

objective.

8 Numeral strength

The Islamic State expands rapidly after the death of Muhammad (PBUH) through remarkable

achievements in the conversion of both believers to Islam and before it the army of the opponents of

the Islamic Party conquered. The expansion of the Islamic State was a wise development because

Muhammad (PBUH) itself was successful in establishing new faith by conversion and conquest People

standing against it. Prophet's death in 632, Abu-Bakr, as the first successor, continued to finish the

paganism Arab tribes as well as in the Arab region to control this area Medina's political power.Through

their faith on the UN and determination Political united, Arab trade elites succeeded Their authority

across the Arab Islands began to strengthen and begin Some siege attacks in the north of Syria.

8.1 Expansion under four caliphs

In the first four caliphs (632-661) era, Islam spread very fast. The expansion of war has also evolved

rapidly, believers in the concept of jihad. Muslims are forced to increase trust to protect Islam from non-

believer and attack. Originally considered Jihad The war was not included in the war against non-

Muslims, but it was "holy war" Sometimes practiced Muslims who were allowed to explain the Qur'an

However. Jihad was directly responsible for some of the initial conquest Islam outside the Arab Islands.

Islamic cause has also participated in the political crisis which has taken place abroad Arab. Partially

close east, Islamic festivals may be calculated a long series of battles between the Benedict and Persian

Persians.Earlier Byzantine victories had left both sides exhausted and open to conquest. Moreover, the

inhabitants of Syria and Egypt, alienated by religious dissent and resenting the attempts of the Byzantine

Empire to impose Christianity on the population, were eager to be free of Byzantine rule. In 636, Arab

armies conquered Syria. Then the Muslims won the parasites and ten years in Iraq. After Mohammad's
death, Persia was fate of his own destiny, large part of Egypt soon after 640 weeks resistance. Finally

Islam dramatically increased for the first four caliphs nearby central and South Africa.

The new conquest of Islam was controlled by success and elasticity. The center of power model has

helped to integrate new people in the occupied territories; non-believers gained interest in new religion

and accepted a large number of Islam. Apart from the obvious power of religion the message of Islam,

personal tax on non-Muslims many people motivate. Contrary to the acclaimed accounts in strong

Europe on extremists in western Europe, Jews and Christians outside the Arab Islands had to face

tolerance, because they were They worship the same God as Muslims; participated in many non-

Muslims Islamic State spread financially and socially.

One of the most effective religions used to end Islam Race and obstacles of nationality. Apart from a

specific position For the Arabs, the differences were mostly the primary economic class on the day of

victory, the new religion has changed and many people have changed this feature of equality in color

and culture Islam definitely helped him extend.

8.2 Muslims numbers in next fifty years

According to a report, based on an estimated population of the world next half century or the world's

largest religion, only the development of the original population of the pew research center of the

religious community. The fact is, between 2015 and 2060; the population of the world will be twice as

high as the population, and in the second half of the century, to eliminate the Christians as the world's

largest religious group. It is possible in the coming decades, the population of the world has increased by

32 percent, while the number of Muslims increases by 70 percent - 1.8 billion in 2015 and it will be 3

billion in 2060, in 2015, the population of 24.1% of Muslim’s population in the world. Twenty-five years

later, they hope that more than three of the ten populations (31.1%) of the world's population.
8.2.1 Reason of Development of Islam

The main reason for the development of Islam eventually includes general demographics. Initially, more

and more children of Muslims are far more than the study of seven major religious groups. The average

of Muslim women is 2.9, which is significant compared to the next group (Christian 2.6) and non-Muslim

(2.2). A large Muslim population, where all major areas, Muslim numbers are more than non-Muslim. In

the development of Muslim population, it also helps in the fact that 24 years of age (24 years) of all

major religious groups of Muslims are more than seven years old than non-Muslims' age. The masses of

Muslims will soon be in their lives when people start begging children. It will accelerate the

development of Muslim population as well as high agricultural rates.

There is more than a third of Muslims in Africa and the Middle East, in areas where population is the

largest population. But even within these high development areas and other people, Muslims hope that

Muslims should be increased faster than other groups. For example, Muslims in all Africa are average on

average, small and more fertile than the entire population of the area. The fact is, Muslims expect hope

to increase the percentage of every region, except for Latin America and the Caribbean, where relatively

few Muslims live.

The same approach applies to many countries where Muslims live in large numbers with other religious

groups. For example, the number of Muslims in India is growing more rapidly than the population of

Hindus, which is the majority of the population of the country, and their population from 14.9 percent in

2015 to 19.4 percent (or 333 million in 2015) People). There are similar numbers. In 2015 of Nigeria,

among the Muslims and Christians in Nigeria, there is the highest agriculture in Muslims and in 2060 the

Nigerian population (60.5 percent) is expected to grow.

Meanwhile, religious switching – which is expected to hinder the growth of Christians by an estimated

72 million between 2015 and 2060 – is not expected to have a negative net impact on Muslim

population growth.

Muslims are so large in numbers in today’s world and they are increasing day by day. Muslims are

second large religion in the world and they will be the largest religion in 2060. Muslims are large in

numbers, numbers gives a good strength to Muslims in this world.

9 Unity

Unity and strength are connected in the following verse.

And obey God and his messenger and do not quarrel, for then you will be weak in hearts and your

strength (Rih) will depart and be steadfast; surely God is with the steadfast (Sabirin) (8:46).

We often insist on unity, as if it can come from ourselves, and once it is realized, it will give us strength.

It hurts us a lot. Unity will never come, and power will never follow. It should be emphasized that we

emphasize empowerment, take measures to achieve it, and emphasize that solidarity is a necessary

factor in our continuous efforts to build strength rather than pressure.

In addition, we should divide the unity into two types and work separately. One is the unity of the soul,

and the other is the unity of thought. The unity of the mind is based on a common object of love, in our

case Islam and the Holy Prophet. Unify the idea through an agreement on how to interpret, implement

and serve Islam. Both types of units are somewhat independent. Therefore, people may feel close

because they like the same thing, even if they have serious differences in some respects. Similarly, some

people may share the same opinion but will not feel close.
We should feel everyone who loves Islam and the Holy Prophet. At the same time, we should continue

our efforts through dialogue and debate to bring the spirit more united. In this process, we should

tolerate as many different points as possible without damaging the facts we know.

When we think of power, we must consider all of its sources: faith, knowledge, wealth, weapons,

Da’wah, political struggle, organization and solidarity. These eight sources are like the eight pillars that

support our overall strength. Even if one of them weakens, our strength will be greatly reduced.

Therefore, if Eeman falters, knowledge, military power and economic wealth will begin to be misused

and then weakened. If knowledge weakens, military and economic power begins to weaken, creating

internal and external problems that weaken beliefs. If there is not enough economic wealth to leave a

surplus after meeting the basic needs of the people, the army will be affected. Knowledge will also be

affected, as it is impossible to maintain adequate quality teaching and research institutions, which will

further weaken the military. If there is too much poverty, even Eeman will be affected. Again, it is easy

to see that if efficiency or organizational unity is reduced, it will also weaken all other sources of power.

Some devout Muslims believe that we should work mainly on our Imam, and the rest will continue.

Some Muslims also have an attitude. We must first unite and then in some way we will become strong.

This is a dangerous idea because the world does not allow us to postpone the establishment of

economic and military power or the advancement of knowledge until a large enough proportion of

Muslims can reach a sufficient state of faith or until they reach the ideal of imagination unit. We must

strengthen six forces at the same time.

Finally, as mentioned earlier, our power cannot be built overnight. Improving our beliefs, expanding our

activities, and cultivating a sufficient number of scientists, engineers and experts in various fields of

study and strengthening our armed forces will require a lot of work. Many of us must undertake many

specific tasks, participate in it for a long time, and work patiently for many years. Blessed are those who

will meet the challenge.

9.1 Basis and source of unity

Most sociologists say: "Human being an animal of society, in his creation, he is strongly attracted by

community life." Life is shaped? Some sociologists today believe that ethnicity; language, common

history and country, blood relations and other factors constitute the unity of the country. The society

created by the elements we just mentioned is the same as the society that the jurists call the country.

It is in the shadow of these factors that it is possible to create a unified country in which the various

organs and members living in the middle of each other can have a loving and intimate life.

However, these people (with such beliefs) have forgotten an important point: how can a society

composed of people of different ideologies have different wishes and wishes (for their own lives), who

owns them? Viewing and thinking about all aspects, gathering together in a perfect and harmonious

united country, and living in this form?

Indeed, the factors mentioned contribute to and play a role in the unity and harmony of society, but as

long as there is no unity of ideas and ideas, each person has his own goals and ideology, unity and
harmony. Individuals based on these factors and principles will be unintentionally provoked and

therefore will not be permanent and stable.

If one day, the people unite under the same goal, unite with each other and express brotherhood with

each other, they will be able to achieve their goals. In this case, there will be no events that cause them

to differ and their differences of opinion with their wishes and goals - they will not be victims of conflicts

and differences that lead to their division.

The axis of a society does not revolve around an idea or an ideology in which people will never have a

guaranteed unity (society) around the various factors imposed on them. Individual life is determined by

thoughts and beliefs in ideology, not factors imposed on someone. If one day people from a country

who have the same nationality, kinship and language - a spiritual connection and cultural affinity, then

will never hit the unity of this country.

It is here that the great human leader - inspired by divine revelation - says that the first pillar of

nationality should be based on the unity of thought and ideology. Members of this society - from the

perspective of their ideological beliefs and their way of thinking, they share a common view - known as

each other's brothers, their motto is:

“Without doubt the believers are brothers of one another…”

10 Economic wealth

Whatever you spend in the way of God it will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be

wronged (8:60).

This takes for granted the obvious fact that before there can be military force there has to be economic

wealth, part of which may be spent for building a military or police force or for developing the scientific

and technological knowledge needed for building such a force. Of course, economic wealth is useful not

just for building adequate military strength but also in other ways, e.g. in political defense of Muslim

causes.

To help increase our economic strength, the Quran gives us some very useful general principles:

I) Honoring contracts and fulfilling commitments (5:1, 2:177, 17:34, 23:8);

ii) Writing business deals and having them witnessed (2:282-283).

The Qur'an does not condemn the acquisition or possession of huge wealth itself. Therefore when it

comes to Quran he does not condemn it because of wealth, but only because he has forgotten the rights

of God and the poor. . In the past, Muslims viewed the pursuit of wealth in a negative way, because such

pursuits often lead us to lose ourselves in the life of this world, forgetting God and future generations.

There is no doubt that this is an attitude taught in the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and we should never give

it up. But it must be balanced with another aspect of Islam: we must do everything necessary to defend

Islam and Muslims. This means that in this era, we must learn to remember God and future generations

while creating wealth, because if all the countries on the planet are around us, our self-defense will

become very difficult - Americans, Europeans, Japanese, Indians, Chinese, Koreans, etc., become more

affluent as the economy stagnates or declines

11 Military and police force

In a world where God allows oppression and evil to coexist with justice and justice, individuals and

nations often need to defend themselves. If everyone in this world is a just and just person, then

mankind will coexist with perfect peace and harmony, and no one will be forced to establish and use

power. But this is not the way God wants this world. Therefore, in this world, sometimes the use of

force in buildings is inevitable.

Some countries that often oppose Islam and Muslims, such as the United States and Israel, believe in

strength. The following words of the American writers represent the thinking of many influential

Americans: "For the work of globalization, the United States should not be afraid of a superpower like

omnipotent. This is... the hand that the market cannot see will never have McDonald's. The work, while

McDonnell Douglas's F-15 designer, and the hidden fists of the world that can protect Silicon Valley

technology can't be called the US Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps "("What the world needs now

, "March 28, 1999, Thomas Friedman, The New York Times," - Supporting globalization with military

power.) Even Americans who are primarily used for peace consider using force as an option. As for

Israelis, especially it is Zionism, and their strength is confident in the way they are established and

maintained in Israel.

In view of this, it is not possible for Muslims to ignore the building of military force. Hence the Qur'an

says:

Make ready for them whatever you can of (armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby you

may dismay the enemy of God and your enemy, and others beside them whom you do not know but
God knows. Whatever you spend in the way of God it will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be

wronged (8:60).

This verse commands Muslims to best prepare a power to stop attackers from attacking them by known

and unknown enemies. Obviously, in our time, this order can only be achieved when we try to acquire or

build the types of weapons owned by other countries, which requires us to acquire and develop the best

knowledge. In science and technology.

If Muslims are in contact with the colonial forces to pay attention to the commandments of God, they

will not have the chaos of today. They will immediately turn to the acquisition of military power to deter

the colonial powers of making progress towards the Muslim world and against other Asian and African

countries. This requires the development of science, technology and organizational skills at the same

level as Europeans. Therefore, today's Muslims not only have enough powerful military power to defend

themselves, but they also benefit from the advancement of science and technology. Well, when the

Europeans arrived, the Muslims indulged some of the teachings of Islam, making them mainly five

pillars, and connected to its rituals, and certain rules of life for individuals and families (prohibition of

food, marriage, divorce, inheritance). Therefore, although Muslims continue to use their military power,

they have not yet established enough power to command God. Now, everyone can see this result of

ignoring the commandments of God.

As a further comment on the above verse it may be added that military force is viewed in the verse

primarily as a defensive and deterrent force. From the rest of the teachings of Islam, it becomes clear

that what must be defended are the following rights:

a) The right of the Muslim nations to live in freedom, security, and prosperity and to live by the laws

and constitutions of their own choice without impositions from outside.

b) The right to hold the word of God entrusted to them as supreme.

Finally, you can notice the above verse, which cannot be limited to military power. This can also be

interpreted as including the police force. Therefore, when the world truly becomes a global village and

the war between nations is eliminated, the application of this verse will be to maintain a police force

sufficient to deal with any civil war crimes and sufficient military power.

12 Strength of a Muslim personality

As we all know, Islam is an overall system that affects all aspects of a person's life. We have heard a lot,

but it is often difficult to know exactly what it means and how it develops in our lives. On this subject,

Imam Hassan al-Banna made a beautiful, concise but intensive statement. The first thing he mentioned

that Muslims should be interested in is to reform themselves .then he says,

A Muslim should strive to attain a strong body, good character, cultured thought, he should be able to

earn a good living have pure belief and correct worship. He should be able to control his own desires,

pay attention to his time, organize his own affairs and benefit the people around him. These include the

obligation of each Muslim as an individual. (Hasan al-Banna teaching brochure)

These points provide a well-rounded approach to personal development to the teaching of Islam

13 Strong body

Our health is the well-being and responsibility of Allah Almighty and the extent to which we care about

it affects every aspect of our lives. If we are healthy, we will think more clearly, we have more energy,

and we are more psychologically strong.

At the same time, however, when we ignore our own health, we are victims of all kinds of things, such

as fatigue, psychological and spiritual struggles, and even a troubled mind. For these reasons, it is the

basis for the development of a balanced Muslim personality.

13.1 Good character

This is the first external manifestation of a person and his creator, the true quality of his character. The

word Arabic in the morning means not only good but also firmness. It is as if this means that if a person

has a very strong personality, it is not only a good time, but also a difficult time.

This is a good way to measure our daily lives. When things get easier, it's not difficult to maintain good

behavior and treat people in the best possible way, but it is more difficult to face difficulties, fatigue,

frustration, disappointment, anger and a series of emotions. Those who have a true character can resist

these tests, but those who only show the show will always know.

13.2 Cultured thought

Then there is the third quality of all types of power, building a strong Muslim personality. The first

strength is physical strength. The second is spiritual discipline, which is the basis of good behavior. The

third force is the rigor of knowledge and education: cultivating in thought.

This is actually the most important and is often overlooked by people who are considered “religious”. In

fact, Islam is a life system based on divine doctrine, embodied in the example of the Prophet

Muhammad (peace and blessings on him). This example exists and exists in reality.
Muslims cannot cultivate a vibrant, powerful, meaningful and influential understanding of Islam without

understanding the reality. Islam there provides solutions to the problems faced by people. How do we

understand this and achieve it without cultivating ideas? We can't do it.

13.3 Ability to earn a living

The fourth power to serve Islam is financial resources; therefore, it is possible to make a living. The

reality is that it's hard to do anything when you rely on your own income, or when your financial

situation is so serious that they are concentrating on basic issues such as food and clothing. Housing and

health care.

For these reasons, it is important that Muslims seek to be able to take care of themselves in order to be

independent and able to serve Islam. Yes, some people will be poorer, some will be richer, but everyone

should seek some form of financial stability.

13.4 Pure believe and correct worship

After mentioning all these points, Imam al-Banna then said that this person should also have a pure faith

and correct worship. This is the reason for guiding all of the above forces. They are based on the

guidance and inspirations provided by pure faith and are helped by continuous and correct worship.

From these sources, Muslims have truly found his direction and the type of relationship with God to face

the difficulties of serving the truth. They are the wells of the spiritual desire to quench the soul in search

of a natural inclination.
When all these forces are united and maintained through faith and worship, Muslims will find direction

and mission in his life. This task will take a lot, and this is the secret of the last four features.

13.5 Desires controls

The first of these four is that Muslims are firmly opposed to their basic desires. In the struggle to

worship Almighty God and live a just life, the difficulties and tests are endless. These tests are

sometimes very clear and open, but sometimes very subtle. They can be sincere tests, seek praise, and

want people to appreciate, argue and many others. These tests can only be overcome by an endless

process of combating basic desires.

13.6 Time management

Other features must be rigorous and organized in everyone's business. Time is life itself and people who

kill time will only be killed. This is why Hasan- al-Basary says:

"O son of Adam! You are nothing but a compilation of breaths and with each passing breath, part of you

is gone. "

13.7 Organized life

A balanced Muslim will also find that his responsibilities are always more than the time to complete

them. For this reason, Muslims always strictly control his time and organize in his career so that he can

make the most of his life before meeting his Lord in his future life.

13.8 Helping others

The last feature is good for others. This should be read twice. If we hurt the people around us,

everything will be lost before. Islamic educators say that the main purpose of Islam is to gain benefits.

Everything we do is to serve Almighty God. All he asks is pure benefit to us and to all mankind.
Therefore, we should use it to examine ourselves and assess our influence on the people around us, not

only through our own vision, but also through divine teaching.
14 WEAKNESSES OF MUSLIM UMMAH

15 MUSLIMS IN THE PAST

Islam is a very peaceful religion. This is the religion that Allah has chosen for us. Islam is the religion of

prosperity, no other religion can compete with Islam. Before the emergence of Islam everyone in this

world was drowned in the ocean of foul traditions and superstitions. After the emergence of Islam, after

the appearance of our Holy Prophet (PBUH), the life of people was changed to an excellent extent. Many

people who embraced the Islam became the pious people and was given the name of Muslims, the true

Muslims. The true Muslims, like the companions of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was given the good news

of success both in this World and in the Hereafter, because they all spent their whole life for Allah and

Islam. They were a strong nation and the most successful people in the World.

16 MODERN MUSLIMS

Now, if we talk about today’s Muslims including us unfortunately, we cannot say that we are the true

Muslims. Some people feel shame to be declare that they are Muslims. Why is it so? We should be proud

of being a Muslim, but some of us feel shame instead of feeling proud to be a Muslim. There are some

reasons of this unfortunate behaviors:

16.1 LACK OF UNITY

Unity is one of the best tools for success. Success of every nation is rooted in unity and coordination

among its members. A strongly united nation turns out to be an unbeatable power and deals with every

hurdle which approaches it. No one dares to compete with such a strong nation. As Quran Says,
“You: by this (strength and unity) distressed the enemy of Allah and yours.”

But today the situation has quite changed. Muslims lack unity among them. Due to lack of unity Muslims

have lost their previous power and dignity. Our ancestors were united therefore they were the people of

honor in all over the World. But, we have lost our dignity because we are not united. As a Muslim we

should be a united nation but unfortunately, some of our Muslim brothers are so selfish that they do not

want to help one another. Disagreement and disunion are the chief difficulties that the Muslim Ummah

is facing today. This problem is the cause of the division of Islamic World into insignificant frail fragments

and distributed us here into divergent groups.

16.1.1.1 REASONS OF DISUNITY

There are some reasons of disunity:

16.1.1.1.1 DEVIATION FROM RIGHT PATH

The first reason of disunity among Muslims is Deviation from right path. The Muslims of today are not

following the right path which Allah has prescribed for us to follow. Therefore they find divisions and

disputes among themselves. All the others paths except the path of Allah are the paths of Satan. So, the

deviation from the right path may lead to the path of Satan. Whenever the Muslims follow the pathway

of Satan, they will sprinkle and fall into clashes and partitions. We can see the same situation in the Islamic

Ummah now a days. The Muslims have overlooked the sole and true way that is necessary to hold them

united.

16.1.1.1.2 Breaking of Islamic Rules

The third reason of disunity among the Muslims is the breaking of golden rules of Islam. Muslims of today

are following the roles of their own choice instead of following and implementing the roles of Allah

Almighty. We can see such things happening in many Islamic states.

16.1.1.1.3 Political affairs

Islam essentially be unbound of the politics of extreme nature. Islam related to politics and we can say

that they are same things. But the politics of modern age is evil and is a huge obstacle in the path of Unity

of the Muslims. The Muslims should avoid such type of unhealthy politics but unfortunately Muslims of

East and West are suffering from such disease of politics and also bearing the bad results of it in the form

of disunity.

16.1.1.1.4 Madhhab

Before declaring the Madhhab as a disunity factor, let us explain its meaning. Madhhab is not same as

Religion. Islamic Religion consists of the teachings and beliefs of Quran and Sunnah. While Madhhab is a

pathway made by the Muslims to clarify the din or religion. We can say that Muslims belonging to different

sects have different Madhahib. The people of every sects consider themselves right and others wrong.

The main sects are Shia and Sunni sects. They have different point of view about the religion. They are not

following the basics rules of Islam that is unity. So, Madhhab is the cause of disunity among the Muslims.

But we cannot say that the Madhhab is not related to Islam. Islam gives the complete freedom of making

different view point but not is this way.

16.1.1.1.5 ETHOS AND RACE

Islam agrees with the races and ethnicities to some level. Unfortunately, Muslims have taken this

negatively. They have not understood the true meaning of this acceptance. According to Islam, No one is

preferred over other everyone is equal. These races and ethnicities are just for the identification of people,

it does not mean that the people belong to popular ethnicities are better than other. But, Muslims of

today have such a thought of discrimination and are suffering from disunity as a result of it.
16.1.1.1.6 SECTARIANISM

Sectarianism is a major cause of disunity among Muslims. Let we take an example of Saudia Arabia and

Iran, we come to know about the sectarianism. In Saudia Arabia there is Wahhabi teaching and Iran is the

mystical center of Shiite Islam. The chaos in the Islamic countries like Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan

to a particular level can be the credited to this intolerant supremacy fight.

Today Muslims have divided themselves into various different sects. We quarrel over unimportant and

minor matters that have no meaning and also does not give any advantage to Muslims. This disunity

has caused educational failure, and also the loss of genial values like honesty, forbearance persistent

and selflessness.

16.1.2 Disadvantages of Disunity

Following are some evil results of disunity:

 Keeping Mercy of Allah and His backing away from us.

 We can drop our power and might.

 We will be failed to achieve our objectives.

 Divisions spread hatred instead of love and cause many conflicts and disputes.

 Wastage of energy in hollow quarrels instead of profiting ourselves and other people.

 Division causes the Muslims to be away from Islam and its rules.

 Disunity will cause our disgrace at the day of Judgement.

16.2 ECONOMIC PROBLEM

Economic problem is one of the weaknesses of Islam. Muslim countries are facing this problem today

which has a drastic effect on them. It is the biggest problem faced by the Muslims in the present time.

Muslims are facing poverty. Muslim are lagging behind not because they do not have potential but
because of corrupt leaders they are lagging behind. If we compare Muslim countries with the countries if

Non-Muslim world then we come to know that the reason of our bad economic condition is not the lack

of resources or potential. The reason for this bad condition of economic system of Muslim countries is

lack of good education and research, corruption and many more.

16.2.1 Dependence on other countries

Basic economic problem of Muslim countries is their dependence on other countries. Most of Muslim

countries are taking loans from the Western countries who are rich. The Muslim countries are taking loan

on interest. Interest make that loan almost double at the time of return. In this way Muslims remain under

constant pressure of other forces. They cannot fulfil their own objectives and forced to work according to

the policies of the other countries.

16.2.2 Economic structure

Muslims countries are following the economic structure of other non-Muslim countries. They have not

tried to establish Islamic economic system. This thing has made their economic system greatly poorer

than that of other non-Muslim countries.

16.3 Communal Problems encountered by Muslim Ummah

Muslim have stuck into the material civilizations of East and West. They are completely confused about

adopting the culture. They are mentally and socially attacked from all the sides. This is because Muslims

leaders are weak in their faith. They cannot decide any matter perfectly. This this is a cause of political

and economic weakness of Muslim countries.

16.4 Dis-obedience of Allah Almighty

It is not a worldly cause but the reality of the religion, that is we have not practiced our religion as Allah

wanted from us, for He openly say in Quran,

“Is not Allah enough for His Servant” (Quran)

Allah Almighty talks to every Muslim with this ayah. He has created us, given us the food and all the basics

which we need for survival in this world. If people really ask for such dedications, then they would

comprehend the importance of this ayah.

One of the chief reason of weakness of Muslim Ummah is their sluggishness and negligence in applying

the Islamic rules. This weakness is a main reason of a Muslim to intellect his individual negligence in

applying Islam in the way that Allah Almighty has instructed him. Many Muslims consider it enough to

have born in the Muslim families, saying for example: My parent are Muslim and this is sufficient for me.

16.5 Lack of Potential leaders

After Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) had died, the Muslims were ruled by four Caliphs of Islam, Hazrat Abu

Bakar Saddique (RA), Hazrat Umar (RA), Hazrat Usman (RA) and Hazrat Ali (AS), who were excellent

frontrunners and managers of all the time. The less visionary leaders of Umayyads and Abbasids followed

them but still, they were somewhat better in headship compared to the global force of the age, therefore,

they overwhelmed all other forces. Now if we talk about current age, we are dealing with severe shortage

of honest and excellent frontrunners.

16.5.1 Problems in the establishment of democracy

In the Muslim countries there is a struggle to establish democracy. Some countries have established this

type of government. Politics is a worship if done honestly. In the Muslim countries corruption is the major

cause of their weakness in democracy. There are corrupt people who are ruling that countries. There are

protests all over the county. So, lack of good government is also a weakness of Muslim Ummah.
16.6 Weakness in educational system

Education is very important for progress of every country or a community. Unfortunately, Muslim Ummah

has not much improvement in this field and therefore lagging behind in educational fields. In the golden

period of Muslim Ummah we had the great scholars and scientist who discovered many important

phenomenon of the world. Now, currently, we have failed to achieve that place, which was achieved by

our ancestors. The non-Muslims took the advantage of our ancestor’s discoveries and worked on them

and now they have reached the higher status than Muslims. According to a survey, the number of

Universities giving education to students in United States America are greater in number than all the

universities of Muslim countries. There is no a single institution in the Muslim countries which can

compete with the universities non-Muslim states like Cambridge University or Harvard University. If this

condition goes on then we will left with a dull future instead of bright future.

16.6.1 Integration of the Worldly Educational system

Western has introduced their Secular educational system to the Muslim countries. The English has

introduced the western culture to the youth of Muslim countries. Our youth has accepted this cultures

and now they are going away from the Islamic moral values and ethics. They have promoted toward

nationalism and materialism. They think that they are free to do anything. In this way they commit many

crime which weakens the Muslim Ummah because students are the future of every nation.

16.6.2 Extremism in the Muslim world

The shortage of proper education and lack of religious understanding is the main reason of extremism in

the Muslim countries. Due to the negligence of government and lack of facilities of education, Poor

students take admission in the religious Madrassas. There some extremist scholar teach them Islam

according to their own considerations. In this way students do what they have been taught. This leads to
extremism. This on one hand good because students learn Islam, but on the other hand bad because this

learning of Islam is not the true learning because of some of the extremist scholars who taught them.

16.7 Concept of Materialism

Islam is a complete religion. It guides us in each and every aspect of life. Islam guides us how to establish

a good and reliable system of administration. But if we look at the Western notion of Secularism we come

to know that their concept says that there is no role of religion in the administration of a government.

This notion leads to the development of materialism. This notion has also effected some people of Muslim

world due to which they have also adopted such teachings. It is also a cause of weakness in Muslim

countries.

16.8 The Depravity of morals of Muslims

The depravity of moral standards of the Muslims is caused by Western effects familiarized through actions

such as show biz, art and numerous negative Western ethos. Due to this depravity of morals standard

Muslims have become very lazy and complacent. They are un-attentive toward getting knowledge to

compete with other people. Western powers are trying to weaken the Muslim Ummah by this method

and are also successful to some extent.

16.9 Ban on religious researchers and preachers

Religious scholars or researchers are those people who research a religion and spread their research to

teach the people about that particular religion. Islamic scholars are banned in the Western countries so

that they cannot spread the teaching of Islam. Many Muslim scholars have been assassinated by the

Western countries.
16.10 Avoidance from Jihad

Avoidance from Jihad is one of the main cause of weakness of Muslim World. Jihad is oftenly called as

terrorism by Non-Muslim but it is wrong. Jihad does not mean to kill innocent people. Jihad is for the

perseverance of Islam and to eliminate those people who are killing the innocent people and also leading

our youth toward extremism. But now Muslims are also avoiding Jihad and showing their weakness to the

non-Muslim world. There is extreme kind of brutality in Syria, Kashmir, Burma and Palestine. But Muslim

countries instead of helping those people is watching these painful happenings silently. This show the

weakness of Muslim Ummah.

16.11 Left the teachings of Quran

Today Muslims are not following the teachings of Quran and this is one of the major weakness of Muslim

Ummah. Muslims are not following what has made obligatory for them. They are leaving according to

worldly rules which are made by non-Muslims. They have leave the Quran. Allah gives higher position due

to the obedience of teachings of Quran and He gives lower position as a result of leaving the Quran’s

teachings. Quran is the complete guidance. If we left this guidance we cannot survive in the World with

dignity.

16.12 Women Rights

Islam gives equal rights to women as it gives to men. In Islam women has the freedom to do every halal

job but under a certain obligations. Islam gives the women the right of property and gives a due respect

to them. In the past, before Islam women were treated very harshly. Now a days, although, women are

very advanced but in some Muslim countries women are treated oppressively even in the present age.

Women have a key role in the development of a nation. So, if the women are not given their rights then

a nation becomes weak.

16.12.1Education of Women

In Muslim countries mostly women are uneducated, but Islam put a stress on the education of every

Muslim man and woman. As Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said, “It is the duty of every Muslim to get

education.” But in Some Muslim countries there is no trend of women education. This is also a weakness

of Muslim Ummah.

17 Solutions and cure to weaknesses of Muslim Ummah

(Recommendations)

As there are some weaknesses in Muslim Ummah but these can be cured effectively. Muslims were a

very strong nation. This nation had ruled the world. Although, there are some weaknesses in this nation

but we cannot forget its golden past. There are some solution to cure these weaknesses.

17.1 Suggestion to build up a united community

There are some for unity of the Muslim Ummah:

17.1.1 Knowing the common enemy

In the present age Muslims are facing serious threats to their economic, political and cultural system. All

the Muslims, leader, researchers should be alert of common enemy and should also identify such

components of the society. The opponents are trying to generate uncertainties in views of Muslim Young

group by ethnic attack.

17.1.2 Concentrate on common Problem

Muslim should focus on their common issues. But unfortunately today Muslims are divided and only

concentrate on their individual issues. The common issues or problems are too high in the Muslim

countries and there are very rare alterations. But, unfortunately the common problems have been entirely

ignored. Many religious issues like Jihad, Zakat, Qibla, Quran and many other motivations are common to

Circulation of money is very important for the economic development. Muslim countries should have to

build a system through which circulation or money will become possible. Zakat is a part of such system.

Zakat purify the wealth not decrease it. Zakat is for poor people so that they would live their live happily.

18 Conclusion

Muslim disunity is a major and undeniable problem of the time. The increasing sectarian ethnocentrism

has spattered and blemished the fundamental Islamic teachings. Today’s Muslims are suffering from

numerous problems and the basic reason of their plight are: i.e. sectarian hatred, creed prejudices, lust

for power, intolerance and many other materialistic interests. All these things combined to confirm falling

for Muslims, which deprived them of their honor, dignity and power.

On the other hand the enemies of the Muslims are united and are well aware of that their strength lies in

the weakness of Muslim Ummah. Hence they are engaged in making conspiracies to divide Muslims.

Whereas The Holy Quran warns us to be united and to remain aloof from them. Tawheed is the only

element that keeps the Muslims united. The patient in also a key element in this respect. Although

Muslims have much more strength than weaknesses but these weaknesses should be eliminate in order

to development of Muslim Ummah. Muslim Leaders should also have to pay heed to this matter and lead

their people toward Islam and unity.

Comprehend and accomplish the task and obligations that have ordered by Allah to the Muslim. To be

a Muslim is not enough to get Jannah. When a person embraced Islam then it becomes mandatory for

that person to follow the teaching of Islam to become a true Muslim. If a Muslim do every work with

the perspective of Islam then he will never be disappointed by Allah in this World as well as in the

Hereafter.
