Describe the child’s appearance Diana is a very normal baby appearance

wise. Very short brown hair and light
brown eyes.

Describe the child’s physical

Diana was only somewhat active for a
child her age. While she can crawl she
does it very clumsily and not as often as
some other kids.

A. While not during the week line
observation, when I first came to ABC
Acres Diana was not able to crawl. Now
she is able to crawl.

Because of her young age Diana really
has yet to touch imaginary play.
Their interests mostly consist of baby
things. Food, sleeping, crying, colorful
objects and toys.
Diana would only occasionally interact
with the other kids. In the few times I
saw her it usually went alright. She does
have a bit of a difficulty sharing
sometimes and would sometimes try to
take things out of other kids hands.
What comments would you make about

independence and dependence
C. The child’s sense of initiative or
confidence in exploring
What kinds of a person does the child
seem to be at this stage? What do you
thing this child would be like when they
move onto the next grade? Why? ​Be
thoughtful but insightful.
A. Diana does not really trust
outsiders. Bringing in someone
unfamiliar will quickly bring her
to tears. However, she is very
trustful of her caretakers.
B. Diana is a baby so she is very
dependant on her caretaker. She is very
whiny sometimes and will often cry
when left alone.
C.Diana is not so hot on the exploring
sometimes. Typically when she is left to
her own devices she just sits around for
the most part or isn’t very mobile.
She is still very young and Diana has a
lot of growing to do. I expect that before
she moves on Diana will have to become
much more independent and hopefully
more adventurous.
