When I taught Landon, he was a great student who always participated in class. He
was quick to ask and answer questions – not just for understanding, but more
importantly, in order to obtain a deeper knowledge of the subject. Landon is the
type of student who continued working until he reached the correct answer.
I have enjoyed watching Landon as he excels inside and outside of the classroom.
In addition to taking a rigorous course load, Landon participates in several clubs
and activities at Heritage High School, including Student Government, multiple
honor societies, peer tutoring, Junior Marshall, and the Heritage Hooligans. While
this list may seem enough, Landon is also an accomplished soccer player, and his
weekends are often spent traveling to play. When he returns to school, Landon is
always prepared with assignments and is ready for the week ahead.
As a member of the National Science Honor Society, Landon was required to obtain
several service hours. He often spent his time in my classroom tutoring my AP
Chemistry and Honors Chemistry students. His retention of the subject was
invaluable as he was able to help many students. He was one of the first students I
called on when I had a student struggling with Chemistry.
