I. The purpose of this project is too spread awareness on an issue that could be solved with more

knowledge and concern. Disability Rights in Europe is an ongoing issue that people in this world

should start to become more aware of. It will take a significant amount of hard work to overcome

parts of this issue, however none of that will be achieved if only a limited amount of people care.

Everybody in this world either knows or has been exposed to somebody with a disability. Whether it

be a major one or a minor one, these people deserve better treatment all throughout Europe. The

purpose of my project is to make the world aware of why they should help.

II. I feel as though schools, communities and the rest of the world should join me in fighting this issue as

the more people involved, the more things that will get done. Finding a solution to this issue will take many

steps and extensive research which will be very time consuming. The greater the amount of people, the

more effective we will be. Along with that, disabilities come in all different kinds. Everybody in their life,

whether it be now or in the future, will most likely come in contact with someone with a disability. This

makes it much more personal as we should strive to give those humans a better and easier life. Schools

should educate children on how to help these people who are in need of it.

III. There are already many different types of organizations who specialize in trying to help this issue.

However, those organizations and groups have only taken very small steps in finding a solution. Every

organization believes that this problem stems from a lack of knowledge on how to help. Because there are

so many different types of disabilities, it is thought that they are often grouped together in one category.

Scholarly perspectives on this issue feel that the world needs to make it known that not all disabled

humans are the same as one another and they all may require different accessibilities. There are many

causes to this issue, one of them being ignorance. People in Europe do not feel the need to help because

they believe it does not directly affect them, so why should they bother. A solution to this cause would be

to educate people on why exactly disabled people deserve better rights.

IV. There are many different ways to go about tackling this issue. I feel that using already

existing organizations will work best as they already have prior knowledge. I chose 3 of the

most common organizations who fight for disabled persons rights and I tweaked their focus

points slightly in order to best benefit our possible solution. I feel as though advertising ways to

help these people on television in commercials would work best. We could do so by simply just

stating why we are fighting for them and why they deserve the help we want to offer. The action

plan below will consist of 3 different organizations uniting into one to give the most information

possible. Our goal is to establish a core amount of research and knowledge that will lead us to

creating multiple solutions to this step-by-step process. The action plan is based off of prior

research such as learning about the intentions of these 3 organizations.
