Effective Communication
Artifact: Graphing arts project
 An artifact that is clear evidence of my effective communication skills is our
annual graphing arts project. In this project we are expected to graph a
specific object and do additional research. There is various elements to this
project, which makes it pretty rigorous to complete by oneself thus many
teacher require us to work with another individual. This artifact
demonstrates my skills as an effective communicator because throughout the
project we are expected to work with our partner in order to complete it.
There is various instances where I had to talk to my partner about problems
we had in our project and work together to come up with a solution. It's
important that anyone be capable of successfully communicating with others
but more importantly that they be able to use those communication skills to
do some problem-solving. This skill in specific will really help me in the
future because I plan to some time down the line to work with the
community and it’s crucial that there be successful communication. I would
really want to tackle issues that affect the community and in order to do that
I would need to hear the concerns as well develop conversations with the
community. In addition I would want to present and give this information
back to the community so I find that this skill will really benefit me.

Critical Thinking
Artifact: English Position Paper Proposal Section
 An artifact that is clear evidence of my critical thinking skills is my AP
English language Position Paper. In this paper we are expected to choose a
topic on which we find interesting enough to do extensive research on. This
artifact demonstrates my skills as a critical thinker because a portion of the
paper requires you to develop a proposal for the issue you've discussed in
the essay. Majority of the time the author has to develop a proposal which
has not yet been thought of to handle the issue. The author must also think
critically in order to persuade the reader into believing this proposal would
be effective. I plan to use this skill in the future because my career heavily
relies on being able to provide effective solutions that the community might
be facing. It’s critical that I be able to think outside of the box in every
situation that I am put in.

Character Development
Artifact: History Comic Book
 An artifact that is clear evidence of my character development is my history
class comic book. In this project we were expected to choose a topic such as
mass incarceration, voting rights and school segregation and complete
research on it to present in a comic book form. This comic book was created
in hopes of presenting complex information that all audiences would be able
to understand. This project demonstrates my character development because
prior to beginning the project I did not see the importance of creating
information that would be accessible for all audiences. The project has
taught me the importance of being prepared and mindful when doing things.
I hope to continue to develop as an individual because my future jobs and
career will most likely require me to adapt to their needs and wants as a
company.
