Chapter V

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter includes the summary of the study, the findings obtained from the

data gathered, and the conclusions made out of these findings. It also includes the

recommendations based on the findings of this study.

SUMMARY

This study employed the descriptive correlational research design. The students’

socio-demographic profile, the quality of services in the school canteen and level of

satisfaction of the students were described and correlated using appropriate means.

There were 30 students from Currimao National High School which are randomly

selected as respondents.

Three variables were involved in this study namely: socio-demographic profile,

the quality of services in the school canteen and level of satisfaction of the students. The

data collected were determined using pearson’s r and t test.

Findings

Through the careful analysis of the data gathered in this study, the following

findings were drawn.

Socio-demographic profile of the respondents. Majority of the students are

females (17 or 56.67%) while there are only 13 males (42.33%). Among the respondents,
46.67% has age range of 15-17, 33.33% of them fall under age bracket 12-14 and 20%

belongs in the age range of 18-20.

Quality of Services. The 30 students who were randomly selected have neutral

response of 50% to the 10 statements while 45 % unfavourable and 5% of the sample

strongly disagreed to 1 statement.

Level of Satisfaction. The students surveyed on this study are slightly satisfied to

the 13 statements representing 72.22% of the sample. Meanwhile, 27.78% are moderately

satisfied to the rest of the statements.
