This week I learnt from my planning that it is
important to make sure that you plan ahead
every aspect of your production in great detail.
The reason I found this out was due to the fact
that if me and Jordan did not sit down and
spend the time organising everything we would
use to the exact time and date, we would be
having big trouble getting everything filmed and
edited in time for the deadline.
One thing I would consider an issue that we
faced over this Easter was that I and Jordan live
very far away from each other which could have
made planning things like the story board
difficult. To get around this I and Jordan have
been contacting each other over social media
for example snap chat. We have also
exchanged numbers and have been calling so
that we can talk in real time and work everything
out. Another small issue I encountered was that I
was going away with my family for a large part of
the time away. We overcame this by having me
take away all the equipment i would need to
complete the work.
We ensured that our story boards were
completed to a high enough standard by looking
at professional examples online and following off
that. This allowed us to see the extend of detail
we would need in the drawings as well as the
information we would need to include at the
bottom under each picture.
Our planning has changed and developed this
week during the planning stage because we
have had to make a new updated production
schedule that focus in more detail on what we
are going to be doing every day when we get
back from the Easter break. For example we
have had to change and organise the dates and
timing for the two interviews we are going to
shoot for the documentary.

documentary should be laid out and tailored it
for the topic of the music industry and what we
are looking at. We have then used lots of
information such as facts and statistics that we
found in our research into the content. Giving us
reliable information and high detail in the script
proving we have a strong knowledge.
Me and Jordan have gone through the weeks
remaining to complete this topic and have
organised when we will need to be in together
very well. This was quite easy as we are working
together with just us two and so we will come in
each day to complete the work. We have also
sorted out all of the interviews this includes where
they will be shot, who with, the right equipment
for the location and the timing of it.
For this week I would say that if i keep going with
working on the planning everyday i should be on
track to have all of the pre-production sorted for
when we get back from Easter.
I still need to finish a couple of different tasks to
stay on track. The biggest thing i need to work on
is completing the script but we are going to base
sections of the script off information we find out in
the interview so this cannot be completely done
till then.
