Ganho de Peso
- IMC pré-gestacional é preditor independente de
desfechos adversos durante a gestação
- Consumo excessivo e excesso de peso estão
relacionados a riscos a curto e longo prazo,
incluindo obesidade, pré-eclâmpsia, DM2,
dislipidemia e DCV
- Excesso calórico não garante status nutricional
adequado, crítico para os desfechos em saúde
durante a gestação
- Ajustes metabólicos gestantes obesas x eutróficas*
- Seguir recomendações da IOM 2009
* J Am Diet Assoc. 2009;109:918-927.
The new guidelines differ from those issued in 1990 in two ways. First,
they are based on the World Health Organization (WHO) cutoff points
for the BMI categories instead of the previous ones, which were based on

✓ Vitamina A:
✓ Zinco:
- Relacionado com crescimento e desenvolvimento embrionário e fetal,
assegurando evolução cerebral do feto; demandas maiores pela embriogênese e
- Deficiência associada a RCIU, malformação congênita, abortos espontâneos, pré-
desenvolvimento cerebral fetal
- Muitas mulheres não atingem a recomendação de
450mg/dia (AI)
- Nutriente inexistente na maioria dos suplementos
vitamínicos; assim, o consumo alimentar deve ser
incentivado para atingir as necessidades (gema de
ovo, fígado, germe de trigo, feijão, amendoim, aveia,
trigo integral)
Outras Considerações Dietéticas
- Consumo de peixe e frutos do mar à ômega 3
associado a crescimento e desenvolvimento visual e
- Cafeína: recomendação do American College of
Obstetricians and Gynecologists para limitar consumo
em 200mg/dia (~350ml café), embora não haja
evidências de risco de má-formação congênita, retardo
de crescimento e parto prematuro
