Abstract
In this project we will design an intelligent system based on ARM Cortex M-0, it has a
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) transceiver, this project can be included in the
telemedicine area. Although it is an element that you can find on the current market,
but with this project we can achieve a personal learning in deep about the research
and capture of biosignals. In this project, we have used an online platform called
MBED, that work in the cloud, to create the code that we will use to capture the
signals of interest, in our case the cardiac pulse, using the photoplethysmography.
The basic hardware element of our system will be the Tiny-BLE badge from Seeed
Studio, built around the Nordic chip nRF51822. The design includes a final phase
where we design the envelope for our proposal. And finally, and approaching this

project to the telemedicine’s area, we have done a survey to value the knowledge in
the society because the telemedicine is in full boom and expansion.

Keywords: photoplethysmography, pulse sensor, Tiny-BLE, bluetooth, MBED,
