AUTOMOBILES AND ANIMALS

THE CARS THAT LOOKS LIKE ANIMALS

The question strikes in mind ,”Is the car have faces like animals?”. Of course
they have. The headlights typically represent eyes; the grille the mouth, the placement of the
badge on the hood [The hood (American English) or bonnet (British English) is
the hinged cover over the engine of motor vehicles that allows access to the engine compartment
(or trunk on rear-engine and some mid-engine vehicles) for maintenance and repair.] can
resemble a nose.

Cars like the MINI Cooper greet the world with a playful, happy face. They seem
to smile broadly. Take a look at the Fiat 500’s face; it looks like a smiling Italian man with a
whiskers(मूंछ). The more aggressive Abarth model looks like an angry Italian man with a
whiskers, just because the shape of the front grille was changed slightly.

There are some examples of which have shapes or looks like animals.

1. Austin Sprite – Appearance like A Frog

This car represents a certain croaking reptile more than any other member
of the insect family. In fact it actually looks like it eats bugs. In 1958, when the model of this
car has come , England was still facing the economic troubles charged upon it by the Second
World War. Due to this reason, English cars which are built in the 1950’s were largely “parts
bin” specials. The designers had to assembled the parts which already on hand to make a
car.But in the case of the Sprite, the main focus was for those headlights to pop up into
position when needed and retract when they weren’t in use but unfortunately this had cost
issues at Austin so the headlights were fixed into position instead. So the result gave the little
car named ‘Austin Sprite’ which has appearance like a frog .

2. Bugatti Veyron: looks like A Koala(a bear)

Figure 3: Bugatti Veyron Figure 4: Koala (Australian Bear)

Anybody gets surprised that world’s fastest series production car has huggable
looking. But the combination of the upswing in the Bugatti’s front cargo cover, with the semi-
ovoid shape of the traditional Bugatti “horsecollar” grille, similarly like the headlights of the
car, strongly represents the faces of the Australian native. By the way, although Koalas are
bears but they are more closely related to kangaroos . Yes, they look like bears, but because
they carry their youngs in a pouch, they are considered marsupials(species of kangaroo), like
the opossum(species of kangaroos). The main point is that Koalas are not completely
bears, they have some qualities of kangaroos. Further, they become strongly defensive if the
are threatened. In other words, any similarity between the Bugatti Veyron and a Koalas bear
is only coincidental.

3. Buick Rendezvous : Appearance as A Cat In Heat

Figure 6 : A Cat In Heat

Figure 5: Buick Rendezvous

When the introduction about the ‘Buick Rendezvous’ in 2002 had come in press,a
female automotive journalist remarked ; “Oh my goodness, it looks like a cat in heat!” .The-
new Buick model is little based on the ‘Pontiac Aztek’ which is one of the featureless
vehicles ever to see the light of day. The point at which we took a good look is the rear of the
Buick crossover. Observing in this way, we noted the way the rear ¾ view of the Buick
sloped forward, seemingly hiking its rear end skyward, follow the mentioned above that cat
in heat. When it is viewed from this angle, it seems that the name ‘Rendezvous’ which is
given to this car is absolutely right. And frankly, seeing the large number of sales of the
Buick, it’s safe to say it achieved pretty much what it was expecting .
4. Chrysler Crossfire –Appearance as A Dog Indisposed

Figure 8: A Dog Indisposed

Figure 7: Chrysler Crossfire

Many people have always been fans of the two-seat coupe based on the ‘Mercedes-
Benz SLK’ which is formed by Chrysler in 2004. Specially, we have always appreciated the
typical styling of the Chrysler sports coupe majorly. When the ‘Chrysler Crossfire’ had been
introduced , we’ve thought the front end of the Crossfire looked a little plain and there is no
doubt the company missed a good opportunity there inspite of having a big name and fame at
that time. But overall this car looks very pretty and handsome piece. Then, one day we saw a
parked Crossfire and nearby a dog enjoying an intimate moment. Observing the curvature of
the dog’s spine we realized that the Crossfire’s rear ¾ plane had exactly the same curvature
as a indisposed dog’s has. And from that moment we are still appreciating the car and its
designer. We must accept that certainly the designer had some pics of the moment of a
indisposed dog in his memory to design the ‘Chrysler Crossfire’.

5. Infiniti QX70 – Looks Like A Bionic Cheetah

This car is known as the Infiniti FX35 and FX45 which are introduced in year 2003, at
present time the model is known as the Infiniti QX70 which was basically styled to resemble
a looks like a muscular jungle cat. The main purpose behind the designing the Infiniti FX
was to combine the performance and handling of a sports car with SUV-like features. The
swelling out wheel arches and the fluttering shoulder line crated tension within the design,
all these gives a image of a powerful cat .Thus promoting the idea of the Infiniti, it is
resembling a “Bionic Cheetah”. Fans of the old television show named "The Six Million
Dollar Man" in which ‘Lee Majors’(a famous TV artist) had acted. In this show a human
being had enhanced with artificial electromechanical components to make him faster and
stronger than any human being. Following the same way, the Infiniti FX was designed as
having the power and quickness like a cheetah utilizing the technology.

6. MINI Cooper – Face as A Bulldog

Figure 10: MINI Cooper Car And Bulldog

Spend even the least amount of time among a gathering of MINI owners and one of
them will inevitably refer to the car as a bulldog. And, really, if one sees carefully, the
modern MINI Cooper’s face looks like that of a bulldog. The pattern of designing the
headlights which frame the grille and the combination that gives completeness to the
curvature of the engine cover looks like as the face of bulldog. Further if one looks at the way
the MINI is designed on its relatively wide wheelbase, the car has matching of the body
position or pose like a bulldog too.

7. Porsche 911 – A Dolphin

Figure 12: A Dolphin

Figure 11: Porsche 911

Next time you see a Porsche 911, take a look at the car in profile and you’ll
see the overall shape of the iconic sports car closely resembles the
appearance of a dolphin arcing through the water. This is particularly true
of the version of the 911 produced around the 2001 model year. The
tapering nose, the graceful curvature of the roofline—the only thing missing
is the dorsal fin. And actually, if you look at the car with this in mind, its face
starts to resemble that of a dolphin as well. Widely considered the most
intelligent creatures to inhabit the sea, dolphins occupy a special place in
the hearts of most people. And, for those of us of a certain age, the 1960’s
television show ‘Flipper” (which originally ran from 1964 – 1967) informs
this attitude tremendously.
